My set has been spamming 3 t3's for quite some time, and noticed the other night on Kalunga that we didn't get any RP nor did it consume an amplifer (hp was some where in the 70% range). We did however get a full charge by the end of the 3 fights. Has anyone noticed anything like this?

Probably another Gaol glitch. My group did 2 T3s recently and got the full bonus. Cleared arebati, wiped and timed out to Ngai, zone strangely kicked all of us out, despite only doing two NMs. We got message saying the amplifier was charged as if we fought three. The Moogle showed we only consumed two moglophone II, and we had plenty of time in the lobby remaining, plus we had some people alive on the boot from Ngai. Was really strange. Only happened once

Odyssey/Gaol was such rushed content they cut so many corners to get it out to us, and it's just been riddled with bugs ever since. So I wouldn't put it past them that the opposite of what I experienced could happen (you DON'T full bonus from fulfilling requirements)

list text of Edited DB from infobar / Added NIN WS

( Missing x4 entry ( Nostos Bigbird/ Nostos Fungar/ Nostos Gaganabo / Nostos Vulture and all the Beastmen Manool , Trolls and Lamias )

( Names are in the DB file but not the Family, and nothing on the Net yet )

If Community could register those 4 missing for NIN WS / and the Family Group for Beastmen , that will be nice we could complete the DB file , and post a link , thanks.

The amount of mobs that are blunt resist is disproportionate and unfair on MNK.

i count 24 blunt and 22 piercing.
however MNKs have formless strikes and i vaguely remember some hand to hand weapons that deal piercing instead of blunt damage, not sure if SE also made a 119 version tho so take that with a grain of salt.

one could argue that THF and DNC have it worse. they miss formless strikes and only have a mix of D or E in none piercing weapon options which throws them back by 90-124 in skill compared to a A+ rank. that's a pretty hefty set back in ACC.

Formless Strike only works for melee hits, WSs are still blunt, so Formless Strike is not enough.

I don't think we have piercing ilvl h2h, but it would be the same problem still, melee hits are piercing, WSs are blunt.

I've seen something similar when you kill an NM right as time expires, been a while since it happened, so i forget the exact details of what happened.

I used to bring a really good Monk to Odyssey farms. It's not actually that bad. It parsed higher than my samurai a few times, because empy am3 is bonkers, and sometimes, Monk can outright kill C1 monsters in a few seconds with white damage.

I have noticed on warrior or ninja, or any single/dual wield job, your white damage is incredibly low comparably if you aren't in a set that can take advantage of am3 or major crit set. You can WS and deal 75% health of a monster, but then your melee hits can't kill the monster fast enough, so you have to WS again and waste a lot of virtual dps. Monk's white dps is much higher and has great wsd, so even if it suffers on a few unlucky monster types, it makes up for it on monsters it can outright destroy. You end up wasting a lot less tp because you can bring monsters lower much faster without expending excess tp. For example, just send one Monk for skeletons. They can kill an entire group solo in like 2 minutes or less. It's incredibly handy, unlike warrior or dragoon or samurai which might struggle a bit on skeletons or other undead. I think sometimes people undervalue the little things Monk can do well.

I was eyeballing and couldn't be bothered to count tbh. Glad you did it for me. Surprising to see but yeah SAM and WAR have it easiest with slashing.

Stereotypes.

1. Veret AM3 is least important of all AM3. It barely gives +25% white damage if not less.
2. Impetus AM3 Veret MNK has around the same white damage or lower then AM3 DRK with Torcleaver and significantly lower than Ukonvasara AM3 War. In event like Odyssey MNK falls a lot on white damage against those two tho, because Impetus is only up 60% of the time and in reality its even less, because you lose some of it running between camps. Without Impetus MNK white damage drops by like 30%.
3. Warrior dont really struggle on Skeletons. You use Warcry on them, so Judgment is at like 2750-3000 effective TP with Fencer build. This let you one shot them on first floor and one shot + few melee hits on floor 2 and 3. What's more important tho, warcry boosts party damage by a lot, which let whole party bursts much more damage to kill skeletons very fast.
4. WAR and DRK white damage sets is now mostly Sakpata, which means high meva/DT on top of damage. Monk still needs glass cannon pieces like Adhemar Bonnet +1 and Bhikku Body +1. Other pieces also has some flaws (mpaca lower meva, kendatsuba no DT/PDT).
5. Warrior still have Blood Rage too, which also not only boosts its own white damage way above MNK's reach, but also again boosts white damage of whole party (and potentially WS damage for Shining One SAM or DRG)
6. Retaliation > Counter for DPS too.

Our group finally moved onto the lion, current lineup.

Arebati
PLD/RNG/COR/BRD/GEO/WHM
Gigelorum
MNK/BST/PUP/SMN/BLU/DNC
Marmokrebs
BLM/SCH/RUN/NIN/(ANY)/RDM

Damage is a little tight for both Arebati and Gigelorum but all are killable.

Does anyone know the chests cap for sheol's? I know chests are 250 but are coffers and strongboxes also 250 or do they cap lower? I dont mean the izzat discounts.

Also does anyone know what a fully capped out chest/coffer/strongbox sheol with 0 mobs and NM's moogle mastery ends up at?

Im speculating 5 for nms, 5 for boxes and 5 for nostos but need confirmation on what people know.

Has having more boxes unlocked been proven to increase the chance of a higher one spawning with keys or has that been disproven? General eyeballing looks like 10% for coffer 1% for strongbox.

Concerning mew and mboze:

we're getting msgs that say

The Mboze's TP is reduced to 1087

does that mean he stole 1087, or that'swhat it is after mewing?

That is after mewing, for Mboze the smn's got to wait like 30-40 secs be4 mewing again otherwise if you mew every 20 secs it'll get heavily resisted. After around 30 secs he loses most resistance, and at 35-40 he's very susceptible to mewing again (90%+). Here's a macro that I usually have my smns do when they're on meow duties and also makes DDs aware to slow down on dps to avoid TP move. Ofc your DD's got to have at least 65+ subtle blow for this to work.

/pet "Mewing Lullaby" <t>
/p using lullaby on <t>! <wait22>
/p slow down on dmg some to avoid TP move! <wait12>
/p <target> ready to be meowed again!

35 sec per mew seems quite a long time lol. How long/how many hits does a dark need to give tree 1000 TP anyways?

My blue can reaving wind every 16 seconds.

No idea, I killed tree with 70 SB SAM and used only smn for tp negation back then and nothing else. Its long time but it will not resist it once that much time has passed. The bst w a blu method is pretty solid nowadays, and can allow you to spam tp drainkiss during bst SP2 phase compared to AC.

We just did Mboze last night with me on BST. I believe TP Drainkiss is every 14 seconds with Gleti's ready-5. It also is not penalized the same as Blood Pacts, so it is probably a better option. You also have Unleash, which allows you to call a few pets (Beetle > KI > Leave > Slug > Ooze > Leave > Leech > TP Drainkiss (repeat)) and the DRK can go all out during this time. Can save it for after Soul Enslavement to keep it's tP as low as possible for those last few %.

With Reaving Wind, Feather Tickle, and TP Drainkiss rotation on timer, Mboze can still get enough TP to land a move every now and then. You can throw on Paralyze and Slow/Elegy to help reduce his TP gain even further, which helps out a lot IMO. You will see <5 TP moves the entire fight if you follow the strat (which is still pretty high), none if you are perfect with timing/buffs/debuffs. We had about 2, but no Uproot/Tiiimbeeer/Canopierce. I actually got paralyzed and lost a couple of TP Drainkisses, so he got off a TP move in between this time. But still a win.

https://www.ffxiah.com/forum/topic/54555/the-odyssey-strategy-and-discussion/139#3581735

3 months has passed now since the first JP video of this Strat released and my team deciphered it and translated the strat few days after. Since then we have found that it’s possible to be just as successful with several other DPS jobs instead of DRK as well..

In fact, With Chaos and MNK roll and WHM Auspice you can just be in your normal TP set and pull this off without adding any subtle blow..

SAM being the next best job to use after DRK because of Yaegasumi offering some protection during the final push.. my team has killed it several times now with me on SAM.. no TP move gets off.. final 25%-0 you load unleash same way as the strat I wrote and once it wears use Yaegasumi to finish it off quickly..

As Buukki mentioned above you can cycle multiple pets for great buffs like Corrosive Ooze, Killer Instinct, etc.. before final push during Unleash Window before beginning TP Drainkiss spam if you are fast enough.. After TP Drainkiss spam wears.. Pop Yaegasumi and finish it off.. shouldn't be much left of it after Unleash Wears..

BST is pimp AF in Odyssey…

So, my group attempted to cheese RP on Kalunga with BST Purulent Ooze once with no success. While others reported having been able to stick Ooze on T3 NMs, I was unsuccessful in our attempt. With Agwu's Axe, 4/5 Nyame, Gleti's Feet, and standard pet macc accessories, every Purulent Ooze was resisted, through the entire duration of Unleash. Katezina has just uploaded a video of herself doing exactly what we were trying to do, using very similar gear to what I was wearing, but she lands Purulent within a handful of tries. My kana skills are enough to get the gist of what she's saying and is going on in the chatlog, but I'm not seeing her do anything special here to get Purulent to land. And insight on what I am missing?

If something is not immune, there is always 5% chance to land it. So maybe just pure luck is involved?
