1) What is the logic behind this statement? Why do you "really doubt it"?
Your graph is showing diminishing returns.
What part of no one gives a ***about charts and graphs do you not understand ?

Random Politics & Religion #32
I could find a graph or chart to prove or disprove anything. It doesn't stop people from shooting up schools.
Some *** shoots up a school and everyone loses all sense of logic and reason. They over react and say "won't someone think of the children" when the guy that shot up the school. What about him did anyone bother to help him...looks like they ignored him.
Maybe if we helped people that had mental and social problems instead of making them outcasts. People would be less likely to shoot up school.s

Nearly every one of these shooters was a social pariah at some point in their youth and then the bullying continued by adults of a particular political ideology. Group bullying is the ultimately cause of all this violence. A bunch of children, or adults, get together and decide to pick on and ostracize someone as a team that results in that person developing a psychosis. Eventually that person decides to get revenge on "the world" or "those people" and does anything that would get them on the nightly news. Mass shootings are now used because they have become a proven method to get attention and "prove all those people wrong". But hey lets just disarm everyone so they can later be subjugated instead, for the future slave children and all. Caitsith.Shiroi said: » Nausi said: » So the first 25% of the chart is good, but the other 75% was influenced by other factors? I'm trying to see your point here. In other words "The part that agree's with my political ideology is good, the part that disagrees with my political ideology is bad". Good to know people are open about intellectual dishonestly and mental gymnastics. To demonstrate his point, it works on the same concept as an armed security guard being a deterrent to someone wanting to rob a bank. Why an armed soldier is a more effective deterrent then a disarmed soldier. People wanting to commit violence will choose a softer target in order to maximize the violence inflicted. Even in the case of an attack with a death wish, an armed counter-presence limits the maximum effect of the violence. Most people have no idea what it is like to be socially isolated with no friends and no one to talk to. That is part of the problem.
It is only going to get worse when social media has become the new relationship. And people care less about making friends in real life.

Feminist website: Toxic masculinity leads to school shoots. As if only men can be violent. Also this ***didn't happen over night he has been planning to do this for some time. Most people don't just wake up on a Tuesday and decided to kill people. They can but not as likely.
Right on cue liberals with the toxic masculinity:
http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/456395/colleges-toxic-masculinity-martin-center Being a man alone is somehow a bad thing according to people that aren't men.
It is feminist *** that makes men submissive to women. That is what they really want but they won't tell you that.

Who is to say there aren't other factors that have worked against that correlation in recent years? Say maybe this ridiculous idea that is we make zones "gun free" then no guns will ever go there? I don't disagree that collectively pushing someone into the realm of outcast is part of this pathology, as no doubt are the drugs people take to deal with feelings. I would however point out that the delicate snowflake/kid gloves/everyone gets a trophy attitude that we have been dumping into youth for the last 25-30 years has made them more fragile, more weak, and more incapable of dealing with life's obstacles. My father's generation practiced duck and cover drills at school. They lived in fear of a nuclear inferno on a daily basis. The necessity of learning to deal with that obstacle undoubtedly made them all stronger for it. fonewear said: » Being a man alone is somehow a bad thing according to people that aren't men. Both cases involve a desire to break the law, and inflict harm (physical or financial) onto someone, and in both the opportunity of choosing a soft target over a hard one is part of the planning. What logic suggests they aren't comparable? Caitsith.Shiroi said: » Nausi said: » There is a significant correlation between the number of guns owned and the number of homicides from guns. The more guns owned, the less gun deaths. My point was, the opposite is also true while being more efficient. Nausi said: » Who is to say there aren't other factors that have worked against that correlation in recent years? Say maybe this ridiculous idea that is we make zones "gun free" then no guns will ever go there? Your graph is showing a massive decrease in a 4 year period and then decreases slowly over a 14 years period. Your graph was sketchy so here is one over a longer period, oddly there's was a big spike when it starts ... if you look at the trend it's decreasing slowly, regardless of guns per person increasing. ![]() Donny enough with the charts. This isn't a Power Point presentation. The gun isn't the problem it is the *** that has the gun.
Everyone puts the blame on someone else that it's the gun it's men it's this it's that. Maybe he just wanted to kill people and there isn't anything or anyone that can stop him. But no we must stop people...we don't know how to stop gun violence so point fingers instead.
What about this you can't stop gun violence and end the discussion.
