Another school shooting, this time in Florida. No word on casualties.
Now they are reporting 20+ injured, "many" dead. Caught the shooter.

As far as I can tell, there isn't one that doesn't result in some kind of upheaval/civil war. So we'll just have to send plenty of thoughts and prayers to the victims and their families, knowing the next one is right around the corner. Good thing thoughts and prayers are free.

Well, it's just one more news cycle about a shooting where the people who are mad that "nothing is being done" can't put forth a single solution that would have stopped the crime that was actually committed.

There was a story a bit back about how certain areas (actually think it was a whole state) had implemented some kind of racial quota system in regards to dealing with how we say bad behavior in students. It got to the point where they were basically not allowed to discipline minority students no matter what who of course absent any consequence took advantage. So teachers were just quitting because they feared for their lives and feared the repercussions of doing something as simple as sending them to detention forget calling the cops for actual violence. And of course the school systems did their best to cover up what was happening to the teachers.

Do teachers want to be armed? Is putting guns in the hands of inexperienced people a good idea? How about bring security guards or assigning police officers to schools? How about we arm all the students too?
Sad thing is there’s not usually constructive discussions on how to actually helping... it’s either no guns or more guns as the solution... I don’t think either point is very helpful...
