claimed to have substantial connections with Russian government officials, which defendant
PAPADOPOULOS thought could increase his importance as a policy advisor to the Campaign.

defendant PAPADOPOULOS was one of five named foreign policy advisors for the Campaign.
>7. On or about March 24, 2016, defendant PAPADOPOULOS met with the
Professor in London. **The Professor brought with him a female Russian national (the "Female
Russian National"), introduced to defendant PAPADOPOULOS as a relative of Russian
President Vladimir Putin with connections to senior Russian government officials.**

Also note: Podesta's email credentials were stolen in a phishing attack on March 19, 2016, less than a week before Papadopolous met with with his Russian contacts.


TLDR: In the DoJ's summary statement of the confession he straightup admits to constant communication with a Russian National who identified herself as Putin's niece and was trying to get HRC's stolen emails from her.

On the real though, one thing that stands out to me on these indictments is, both Manafort and Gates pled guilty today and Papadopoulos admitted to lying today. This complete cooperation happened kinda fast, how do we know these three aren't going to start spilling guts?
