Now that the stats have been revealed, what are your opinions?

Favorite 2 effects, on your favorite body choice?

I'm looking at Enmity+5, Fast Cast (5%) for PLD.

No Auto-refresh effect or haste */cry* (3% for dual wielders though)

With only being able to get 1 of 3 it makes it sorta lame and most of the stats atm unless changed later imo can be easily replaced.

Other than that id go for att+10 acc+10 for Pup

Hard to tell really, Seeing as most of the choices basically add stats that can be found in other allready available armors. (Thinking about Askar mainly)

Guess it would be Fast Cast (5%) and the Double attack 2% for drk/nin setup.

For PLD yeah definitly what Orbit said.

where does it say we only get one? i know its a long shot but cant the armors be nation specific? seeing as they are adding new missions anyway!

maybe they are going to be divided into three like the present nation missons?

I'm torn....

I would get the Mage Body and put Avatar Perp cost -2, and Pet Accuracy +15

But then again, I would also love to get the WAR body and put Crit+ and Store TP/Subtle Blow on it....

I think ima get Mirke and put Crit+ and either, Fast Cast, Double Attack or Emnity+ for NIN XD

Wonder if these are "Universal" augments (as in, usable on ALL gear), or just usable on these super special gears >.>

Pendance Robe would be worthless....

Along with Double Attack and Crit, Askar Body would be useless.

Those augmentations could easily "destroy" most good R/E gear in the game >.>

Highly doubt they would destroy most good R/E in game since you can only choose 2 augmentations.

Just using a fairly highly coveted piece as an example,

Askar Korazin
DEF: 49 STR +5 Attack +12 Evasion +12
"Double Attack" +2%
"Store TP" +5
Lv. 75 WAR / PLD / DRK / BST / SAM / DRG

VS

Haubergeon
[Body] All Races
DEF: 45 STR +5 DEX +5 AGI -5
Accuracy +10 Attack +10 Evasion -20
Lv. 59 WAR / PLD / DRK / BST / SAM / NIN

Now, Lv.59 VS 75 is already a pretty big selling point.

Adding Double Attack +2% would make getting Askar Korazin for that completely worthless.
Adding Subtle Blow and Store TP +4 would make getting Askar Korazin for that, pretty worthless considering a difference of +1 STP.

Haub also offers +10 Acc without a furthur Augmentation, +5 DEX and pretty much equal defence.

So assuming we Augment a Haubergeon with DA+ and STP+, we get:

Askar Korazin
DEF: 49 Attack +2 Evasion +12
"Store TP" +1
Lv. 75 DRG

VS

Haubergeon
[Body] All Races
DEF: 45 DEX +5 AGI -5
Accuracy +10 Evasion -20
Lv. 59 NIN

As the key differences between them. So using Korazin, you would gain:

Att+2 Eva+12 STP+1 for DRG

or

DEX+5 Acc+10 for NIN and be able to use it 16 levels sooner.

While Haubergeon is a far easier piece to obtain than Askar Korazin, I'm sure this particular setup would drive the Korazin's effectiveness down a lot due to the general "difficulty" in getting it compared to a more standard DD piece.

It would come down to the player to decide whether the time and effort put into getting a piece that already has a virtually equal set of stats, would be worth the end result.

It's pretty obvious they won't let you augment particular items. I know SE are notorious for ridiculousness, but they're not stupid.

The COR piece with Ranged Attack and Ranged Accuracy would be sheer win <3 And Quick Draw delay -5? O_O That'd put my Quick Draws down to 45 seconds :D

Hitetsu, assuming that you can only augment the three r/e pieces mentioned in the update or blank armour (armour with DEF only), then it's not going to be such an issue. You can however, create a hauberk that has +5 VIT or AGI, depending on your job and no -evasion.

Also, absolutely nothing there for blu since I have AF+1

There is also the fact of if you would actually be able to ADD these stats to the hauby. What would u do if hauby is not on the list of items to augment?

Ok I doubt they will be stats augmented on those type of items, what if you *** up after getting your Azkar and selected the wrong! stat, are you really going to drop the piece and get another askar to obtain the correct stats. Of course there are people that stupid to pick the wrong stats, so to avoid hassle of GM calls I accidentally dropped my "Askar" or "<insert r/e expensive hard to get item here>" they wont have those type of items. I think GMs hate talking to everyone and will hate it more if every GM call was I accidentally dropped my "item body". Would you want to use your one in a lifetime item to be returned? Imagine they returned it but with the stats you didnt want lol now your sol

Actually I'd say that you probably won't have to buy it to augment normal gear. You'll only have to buy it to get those three 75 r/e pieces.

Well, just need to think of it from a money point of view. Why release a new expansion if you're going to provide it's best new feature with no purchase necessary?

Well the main part of the expansion is the new story-line mission/quests and the 3 75 pieces, the augment is just part of the upcoming update. I could be wrong, but that's how I reckon it'll work.

But then, I'm also pretty sure that the augment will only work on blank armour, so won't really do much for 75's in general.
