So, um, you've heard of this Constitution thing, right? It, uh, kinda prevents that. Even in your liberal fantasy world where Trump dreams of being a dictator, that does not make him one. Beyond that, dictators emerge when there is a perfect storm that allows them to grab that kind of power, and there is absolutely no chance that Trump could make that kind of move even if he wanted to in the current political and social climate. He would need the media to be complicit (which is vastly against him), he would need Congress to be complicit (which is half against him), he would need the courts to be complicit (which aren't even close to being radical enough to support such a thing), and he would need enough of the citizenry to be complicit (not happening).
Apples to oranges. We’re not even close to that point anyway.

How positive this news is depends on if your goal is getting rid of King or if it's flipping the district blue.
JD Scholten would have had a MUCH easier race against King than he will against Feenstra.
Flipping the seat wasn't as important as getting rid of King. The guy was a scumbag, he was talking about his exoneration and comeback a while back, even the Republicans were like um no, even if it only took them 20 years. If the seat goes blue great, if not oh well, its not like that seat was integral to keeping the majority.
Yeah... but Feenstra is a hard core Trump thumper. King lost the primary because he wasn’t Trump enough.
I believe the primary reason he lost was because he had no power. All he could do was vote yes or no, not being on any committees stripped him of any ability to advocate for his district. I don't think this was a case of Republicans saying no to racism, it was simply a case of people wanting actual representation.
