ALL TRUMP!!! ALL THE TIME!!!
Senate won't stop him, SC won't stop him, military will "follow orders" DOJ won't stop him. It's already in place.
Well, in positive news, the racist Steve King was defeated in his primary, his much too long political career is over.

I don't think you understand what it would actually take to pull that kind of thing off. And that's all irrelevant, because all of those entities that you mentioned absolutely would stop him. Beyond that, you clearly don't have a clue how the military operates. Asura.Eiryl said: » Remember this conversation when it happens. You got it, buddy. And when it does I will dedicate 100 posts to your glory and eat so much crow in the process. Needless to say, I'm not worried. https://www.businessinsider.com/us-military-adviser-resigns-after-trump-photo-op-at-church-2020-6
Except his own military adviser resigned in response to that fascist propaganda stunt. Experts see the parallel, critical thinkers see the parallel but apparently some people think it’s all just TDS and are in because they’re ok with killing America to own Libs. kreek said: » Bahamut.Ravael said: » Asura.Eiryl said: » He can't become what he already is So, um, you've heard of this Constitution thing, right? It, uh, kinda prevents that. Even in your liberal fantasy world where Trump dreams of being a dictator, that does not make him one. Beyond that, dictators emerge when there is a perfect storm that allows them to grab that kind of power, and there is absolutely no chance that Trump could make that kind of move even if he wanted to in the current political and social climate. He would need the media to be complicit (which is vastly against him), he would need Congress to be complicit (which is half against him), he would need the courts to be complicit (which aren't even close to being radical enough to support such a thing), and he would need enough of the citizenry to be complicit (not happening). Apples to oranges. We’re not even close to that point anyway. Side note: Per Rooks, you are not to engage me personally, Directx. Address the topical in general, not me. Bro, he clearly said that it was not just one-way. He even corrected you the last time you made that claim. I know how you get, so I’m trying to nip this in the bud before it becomes a problem again.
Fair enough, but realize that comments like “your faith in x is cute” are addressing me personally, whether it’s on topic or not. But anyway, that’s all I’m going to say on the matter. Back to the topic.
If it walks like a duck and if the shoe fits forum clause is being invoked!
Quote: Trump is talking about using tanks to quell the George Floyd protests, but the Pentagon is getting cold feet Trump wants his own “Lafayette Square” moment.
So, trump built a wall around the white house? Is this real life.

Nah, it's just fantasy, he's caught in a landslide, twitter the only escape from reality. :) Viciouss said: » Well, in positive news, the racist Steve King was defeated in his primary, his much too long political career is over. Oh my god wait until they learn what mondays are!
Every monday millions of workers find jobs to go back to, this has never happened in the history of america. millions of new jobs every monday during the trump regime! Trump is going to lose his ***. Right in front of Lafayette Park.

How positive this news is depends on if your goal is getting rid of King or if it's flipping the district blue. JD Scholten would have had a MUCH easier race against King than he will against Feenstra. Flipping the seat wasn't as important as getting rid of King. The guy was a scumbag, he was talking about his exoneration and comeback a while back, even the Republicans were like um no, even if it only took them 20 years. If the seat goes blue great, if not oh well, its not like that seat was integral to keeping the majority.
Yeah... but Feenstra is a hard core Trump thumper. King lost the primary because he wasn’t Trump enough.
I believe the primary reason he lost was because he had no power. All he could do was vote yes or no, not being on any committees stripped him of any ability to advocate for his district. I don't think this was a case of Republicans saying no to racism, it was simply a case of people wanting actual representation.
