I'm fairly new to spellcast so I've been searching around for XML for my various jobs.

Things I'm looking for DRK:
*Handling Catastrophe's aftermath effect
*Ability to switch TP sets based on weapon type
*Ability to switch TP sets based on differing needs (acc, haste, etc)

Any help provided will be greatly appreciated =D

By the way, did we ever establish whether Mekira-oto decomposes Light/Dark skillchains or not? I set it up assuming it does not decompose them but if there's testing to the contrary I'll fix that.

Seems like it does everything I want for DRK. Suppose I have to get Autoexec to use this xml though?

It'll run without AutoExec if you really don't want to use it, but your sets won't automatically change when you gain or lose buffs (except for gaining aftermath or LR since those are tied to use of a JA). You can minimize the impact of this by staying alert and triggering Update each time your buffs go up/down.

Code
<!-- Melee/aftermath stuff for autoexec !-->

<if status="engaged">
<if buffactive="Aftermath">
<equip when="engaged|aftercast" set="Aftermath" />
</if>
<else>
<equip when="engaged|aftercast" set="Melee" />
</else>
<elseif status="idle">
<equip when="idle|aftercast" set="Idle" />
</elseif>
</if>
<if spell="Fire V">
<if BuffActive="Aftermath">
<equip when="precast" set="Aftermath" />

</if>
<else>
<equip when="precast" set="Melee" />

</else>
<cancelspell />
<return />
</if>

and my autoexec has this
Code
<autoexec>
<register event="gainbuff_Aftermath" silent="true">/ma "Fire V"</register>
<register event="losebuff_Aftermath" silent="true">/ma "Fire V"</register>
</autoexec>

Just started attempting to use Nightfyres spellcast, and I'm having issues. I'm unable to set monster distance(and thus my WS Gear won't swap in). It just keeps on saying distance 0 regardless of how far I am. Also having issues with idle gear, it's only using town idle gear regardless of where I am, and isn't swapping into resting gear outside of town.

Didn't finish editing it, but here is what I have put in so far for testing purposes. I don't think I missed editing anything that should have broken it, but would love to be corrected. http://pastebin.com/v7RTMvEd

Distance error is a mistake on my part as a result of the transfer to the generic trigger spells. Trigger1 rule should use %TargetDistance instead of %SpellTargetDistance as follows:
Code
<elseif spell="Trigger1">
				<var cmd="set Distance %TargetDistance" />
				<addtochat>Distance Variable: $Distance</addtochat>
			</elseif>

Changespell rule for Weapon Bash worked last time I tried it, but I'll re-check that along with idle/resting issues once I finish cooking/eating dinner. Apologies for any difficulties in the meantime.

Much thanks for the quick response.
edit: Managed to fix the distance issue, but gear isn't swapping in still. I filled out all the relevant sets for my Ragnarok group, so I'm not sure what the issue is.

Hmm. Alright then, I'll have a look.

While I'm thinking about it, do you have a preference for automated or toggled idle set types? The current design was originally intended for use with an autoexec rule - something I may still add - but I otherwise don't have a preference either way so if there's demand for one or the other then I'm all ears.

Whatever the hell you want. I only gave it a set because it's a dark magic spell and spellcast would've thrown an error if there wasn't a set for it with the way I wrote the dark magic rules. I should probably just throw it in the return rule with teleports, warp, etc instead.

Unable to replicate this issue. I'll keep looking at it, but I'm not sure what the cause is.

Debug log indicates it's literally searching for "%Weaponskill" instead of the appropriate weaponskill... %Spell works, but %Weaponskill does not. Sigh. Fixed.

I think this is the product of something else. The regex for managing groups doesn't seem to be working properly anymore, so subsequent parts of the Update code aren't being processed. I'll double check once I get that fixed. Now that I think about it, this could potentially be behind your Stun issue as well.

Will post again once I've gotten that fixed and uploaded the fixed version.

UNDOCUMENTED RULES TO THE *** RESCUE

Alright, group rules work now. Idle gear works... resting gear works. Re-uploaded. I'll set up the autoexec for idle gear tomorrow, I'd need to adjust some of the spell rules in the process and I have to be up early.

Let me know if you're still having issues with Stun or if anything else pops up.

I'm actually having difficulties with the autoexec march/embrava sets. Not swapping in and the toggle has the sets enabled.
Code
<autoexec>
   <register event="gainbuff_Aftermath|losebuff_Aftermath|gainbuff_Haste|losebuff_Haste|gainbuff_Last*|losebuff_Last*|gainbuff_Embrava|losebuff_Embrava|gainbuff_March|losebuff_March">Update</register>
</autoexec>

is all I have in my autoexec xml. Completely new to using autoexec, so not sure if this is a problem on my end or not.
