Here's a list I made of spells I think we might see as we level up the rest of Blue Mage.

Brainjack (Long-Armed Chariot) - About as useful as the BRD charm spell...
Level 5 Petrify (Ahrimans) - Inneffective on NMs.
Hurricane Wing (Fafhogg) - Flash type blind and AoE Wind damage, similiar to Actinic Burst but with small damage too.
Earth/Aqua Breath (Aspid) - Next tier breath spell for BLU, 2/3rds based HP instead of 1/2th with Heat Breath.
Flame Armor (Behemoth) - Let's face it, they won't give us Meteor, and if they give us Thunderbolt, it will be trashy.
Diffusion Ray (Chariots) - Another option for a higher tier breath spell.
Roller Chain (Ramparts) - AoE Damage and Bind
Restoral (Gears) - Pollen-like spell for Cure V+ potency
Lava Spit (Cerberus) - AoE Fire Damage
Slaverous Gale (Sandworm) - Conal frontal damage
Tail Lash (Amphipteres) - Physical damage, higher when behind the monster
Heliovoid (Vampyr) - Absorbs a random stat from target monster
Sinker Drill (Acrolith) - Single target physical damage
Fossilizing Breath (Khimaira) - Like Level 5 Petrify, unlikely to land on many things
Electrocharge (Spheroids) - Like Regurgitation, a useful Thunder-based nuke for BLU
Pyric Bulwark (Hydra) - High physical resistance(phalanx-like) for a very short duration
Cackle (Dvergr) - MAB, MACC, and MDB down to target monster
Asthenic Fog (Yovra) - AoE Drown, like Cold Wave

Could learn all 5 of the Simulcra statue abilities as well:
Seismostomp - AoE Damage and Stun
Lead Breath - Cone Attack Weight
Numbing Glare - Gaze Paralyze
Tormentful Glare - Gaze Curse
Torpid Glare - Gaze Sleep

With the release of the CoP area level cap, I think we'll have access to empty abilities too:
Quadratic Continuum (Gorget) - 4-hit physical attack
Murk (Cravers) - AoE Weight and Slow, like Mysterious Light, but with slow effect too
Empty Seed (Memory Receptacle) - AoE Knockback and Damage
Vanity Strike (Seether) - Yet another stun ability for BLU
Winds of Promyvion (Thinkers) - Erase
Vanity Dive (Wanderers) - Single target damage
Auroral Drape (Weepers) - AoE Blind and Silence

Maybe even some Ultima and Omega spells >.>

I still say we should get Aerial Wheel. A ranged stun would be so awesome.

I could totally see Restoral as our last cure. Exuviation doesn't count to me. Earth/Aqua Breath seems doable too.

Spells from HNMs scare me though.

I cant see Restoral due to the fact that BLU is monster based mobs. Anything you can 'graft' a piece of the soul to yours. That being said Archiatic Gears really do not have a soul, They're Ancient machinery brought to life by ancient magics.

Like Ciecle said, White Wind from that ISNM Puk wouldn't be bad either. Maybe a Curaga II-IV equivalent and would be a great hate build spell for sure.

Sea mobs are just a defensive system, I think, and so they don't have souls either.

Yeah, but we still land spells from the Cardians(Bludgeon), Magic Pots(Mysterious Light), and Animated Weapons(Smite of Rage).

Just trying to fill the large gap of 76-99 with abilities from monsters we haven't seen spells from(aside from Ahriman). I have a feeling we'll see some more of the beastmen abilities as well; orc, quadav, goblin, and yagudo.

Lol, there's two separate expansions of Walk of Echos coming with a range of new mobs, my bet is that most of our spells will come from there. It wouldn't surprise me if we only get one spell every couple levels from here on out instead of 2-3 spells per level like we did on the home stretch to 75.

Certainly with 24 more levels coming I'd like to see somewhere around 24-50 new spells, but I'm not holding my breath for it.

Also, spells coming from NM's, especially HNM's is the stupidest idea I've ever heard, if you thought about it for 2 seconds you'd realise why.

im curious bout why but id say its because most mobs you learn from up to date are from regular mobs.
idk if thats the reason or not tho.

If you're worried about learning HNM spells, can learn them from KS99 events, Nyzul, Limbus, or lolactuallyclaiming. So, as long as the abilities aren't stupid instant-killers(Spike Flail and sometimes Meteor), we should be fine.

If you're on-line right now, do /sea all blu 75. If they release a spell from HNM, every single one of those people will be up there in Aery trying to claim, plus about 5 times more people that have blu but aren't on it now.

Yes, you can get it from KSNM, but there are NM's that aren't in KSNM. Salvage requires a pretty specific party set-up, but sure, our main rdm can just come blu today instead to learn restoral. I'm one of the few people that actually get to do end-game content on my blu, including salvage, so I'd be one of the least effected. But seriously, how many blus do you want up there trying to claim all your HNM?

Getting blu spells is one of the things in this game that any player can do. A LOT of people don't touch HNM simply because they don't have time or can't be bothered with the drama, forcing them to camp HNM to learn spells is HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE.

Stupid idea is stupid.

If they do decide to go through with giving BLU HNM spells, they'll probably put weaker, more common versions of the monsters in the Walk of Echoes or new Abyssea zones.

Level 5 Petrify (Ahrimans - Lets assume SE let you have this, how effective do you actually think it`ll be?

You have Jettatura which is a Terrorize spell, lasts all of 2 seconds (its a stun), if u got Lv5 Petrify i doubt it`ll last longer than 4 seconds on anything worth using it on

Quoting for hilarity since they actually did this, albeit with cute miniature ones.
