Cat's eye, Trading in 30,000 alex is a pain. On Asura, Alexandrite still costs more than 1500 heavy metals.

Yeah on Odin it'd certainly argue that Empy is perhaps the most expensive REMA.

1500 hmp is still a bit cheaper than 30k alex on my server atm it seems.

Btw if you're superstitious, I had the moogle decide my number for me and I went with the first number I was offered.

i'd pick the alex just because I think it's a crapload easier to make a mythic than an empy. I haaate the empy process

I would prefer trials than assaults, ichor and tokens farming.

Unless you abuse heavy cheats, it seems worse than doing a couple of NM here and there

I couldn't be arsed to buy any this time round. between the cost and dubious quality of the rewards, I didn't see it worth taking the gil out of circulation when I could save it for something I DID want.

So caved in and got Ice Brand for my RDM. Only done the easy tests, the additional effect: Ice Damage is 100% procrate and was doing 168-186 in both offhand and main hand on Apex Toads. Orpheus Sash seems to add to damage. Your own enspells will write over the swords effect.

Edit: Another quick test, killed about 25 Apex Jagils/Toads with just auto-attacks and Sanguine Blade. I was getting the same damage with Naegling/Ice Brand and Ice Brand/Naegling at 1000-1200 TP. 11953 on Toads and 16568 on Jagils. By same numbers I mean exact same numbers with same WS set.

I also tried Red Lotus Blade on around 20 Toads/Jagils with the same setup and was also getting the same numbers at 3000% TP. 12960 on Toads and 16920 on Jagils. So it appears that the WS INT+10% might work off hand as well.

Got a rank 1 win on my cor / DD toon. Trying to decide what to get. If the onion sword sucks I'm thinking I might just got with the abdhaljs tome.
