I'm fairly confident that a BLM can hit harder than a SCH simply due to AMII, that being said, Dot wise SCH it seams would win because he or she would not have to rest as often. Although, all of said arguments above are really meaningless unless a concrete situation is provided, otherwise variables will ruin all data making this debate futile.
As I am genuinely interested in this argument, can someone with both jobs leveled provide screen shots of themselves as BLM and as SCH nuking the same mob naked with the same spell on the same game day, whilst having the same subjob. This would be experiment A (exp. A).
After exp. A, attempt a second experiment (exp. B) in which the same character again with the same variables as stated above nukes a higher level mob tallying the dmg given and stopping said count once MP has run out for both jobs.
In this case I believe SCH will win out.
By doing this, the experiment will remove all variables and from that point on this subject would be void as comparative data will be available for anyone to see.
Thank you in advance to anyone that would take the time to do this and end this argument once and for all.

I'm a merited taru but... no morrigan no novio hell I use magnetic earring lol. And yes that is spirit lantern kicking my dmg 10%. Though at the cost of 2 int. And I'm forcing ice to proc with obi and relic pants so losing another 13 int and chance to proc a magic crit there. No meds or help

I have no idea what your race is so I'll assume your taru and it says your 5/5 int merits so I'll give you that. I have 85 base in as a merit taru so you should have 83 if you were taru as a sch/blm and 24MAB.
Your gear shown on here looks like its more for healing/buffing so if I swap out goliard hands for Vmufflers, gol feet for yigit, obi for obi, staff for staff, um for fun throw in morgana body instead of your relic, prism cape for that merciful and mahat pants for the jet seraweels. That should get you 35 MAB and 34int. Give you another 7int from SS and 7 from creme puff puts you at 59MAB and 131int. We will assume you had both weather and day and ebullience. Wiki has has pudding int as 89. Lets say you got a 150int burn on it for -13int to put it at 76.
So dmg forumala will look roughly like this:
D*Staff Bonus*Day | Weather Bonus*MAB / MDB *Target Magic Damage Adjustment=dmg Well and 1.2 for ebullience
Where D= V (dINT * M)
V=506 for blizz4
M=2 for T4 spells
dint=(131-76)
staffbonus=1.15
weatherbonus=1.2
MAB/MDB=1.59
magic adjustment for pudding=1.25
so (506 (131-76)*2)*1.15*1.2*1.59*1.25*1.2= 2027.
Now to get to 2317 with just more int(assuming you don't hit the point of int only being half as effective also assume you haven't already or even capped dint) you could do it with another 44int assuming your taru more if your not. Could also get the same with another 22-23MAB. And of course this is all assuming that I completely pimp your gear out that isn't well pimp out for dmg since morgana is kinda silly normally. Or tl;dr that dmg is impossible with his gear solo even if you are taru with super pimped gear without an int potion proccing rather high

Might have got magic crit, I don't really remember. Either way, that's high enough to compete with the majority of BLMs' AM2. I'm not claiming it will do exactly as much as a perfectly equipped BLM. Yeah, my BLM's AM2 will -slightly- beat my SCH's T4. Besides that, it's very rare I encounter a BLM as well equipped as my own anyway.

If you are taru and you had those perfect conditions and got magic crit its conceivable with that near perfect gear set to hit 2100+ blizz4. It's also conceivable that a blm with gear that is just as good...well actually can easily get better will do more. Just the jobtrait/merits from blm come close to closing the ebullience factor. Add on things like being able to wear morrigans or sorc ring it just kinda becomes silly.

Augments don't take luck. They just take persistence and gil. You can eventually get the augments if you have the time and money to spend. When I see a taru with both jobs and the best possible gear post SS on both puddings and HNM then I'll take it as facts.

No, a BLM could not hit 2100 Blizzard 4 there without help. SCH T4 is already very comparable to BLM T4 without Ebullience. There is nothing BLM can do to make up for that extra 20 MAB.

Yeah but it's Morrigan set bonus which makes it so good, as soon as you break the set you lose the extra 5 MAB that makes the feet and head worth wearing. You know this of course, but just saying that if you're swapping in AF2 pants, swapping in yigit feet and something on the head should make the damage better even without the weather proc... shouldn't it?

Actually you get +20% from ebullience which is better then 20MAB. While we get 18-22MAB more just by being a blm no gear.
2100 blizz4 you say? I bet you I could with novio and a better weskit. Or just get ice to proc while still wearing witch sash and get magic crit.
