Any power, once in complete control, will immediately attempt to protect itself from removal using any means necessary. The people of a nation have no hope to fight within such a system because those who control the system will no longer care about those people. The best thing that could happen is the behemoths being locked in an eternal conflict which prevents either from assuming complete power. It gets attached to the left due to their support of Communism / Socialism which practically requires an authoritarian government to be semi-functional. There's no way in hell your going to convince half the population to willingly give away all their stuff to the other half of the population without resorting to force backed by violence. And to understand the life cycle of an Authoritarian government, they usually start off liberals revolutionaries and end up conservative authoritarians. The left wants *change*, so it push's for a change of government, once those leading the left achieve that *change* they want to stay in power permanently. To stay in power they need to prevent further *change* and thus they become conservative.
All those evil dictators and tyrants started off "liberal" relative to their country and converted to conservative once they toppled the previously conservative government. They will be whatever they need to be to gain and maintain power. The stronger they get, the less surprised they should be when the people elect someone who gives the middle finger to the establishment. Offline

More than 600 members of Jeff Sessions’ church just charged him with violating church rules Quote: ... the 640 Methodists charging Sessions, who include both clergy and lay members, have asked for a “reconciling process that will help this longtime member … step back from his harmful actions and work to repair the damage he is currently causing to immigrants, particularly families and children.”... “The goal is to hopefully get Attorney General Sessions to talk to his pastors and church leaders, bring his position in line with the church’s doctrines and social principles, and end the damage he is causing,” ... Trump signs executive order ending child-parent separation
AP You know its bad when even Fox says there is no law requiring separation. Shiva.Nikolce said: » it's a tweet off!!! that's an awfully *** up thing to say. But there are also populists who enact liberal policies while not being liberal. Perón and Chávez to name two. Welp, Peter Fonda is going to have to answer to the Secret Service now, according to reports.

Sure, he's all yours. Now go advertise your achievement. Looks like Trump is trying to reverse his policy on separating children from their parents via executive order, so much for Congress being the only ones that can fix the mess he created. Problem is, that EO most likely breaks the law. He is gonna have to try again.

Conclusion: Dems care more about Trump looking bad than they do about whatever the topic is. Hence, faux outrage. I don't want to defend the crap he said because it's outrageous, but isn't it legal in your country? Not necessarily. There are common sense limits on free speech. Hence the old analogy about shouting "FIRE!" in a crowded movie theater. Congress can easily fix the crisis permanently. Watch Chuck Schumer. He refuses to touch the issue. The Democrat mantra of "never let a good crisis go to waste" overwhelms his desire to actually fix the problem. Yep, Trump can and ultimately will easily fix this crisis of separating children from their parents. Congress doesn't need to do anything, this has nothing to do with them.
Oh, BTW Trump can kiss the concept of a Nobel peace prize goodby.
Quote: "What is happening at the (U.S.-Mexico) border where he (Trump) is separating children from their parents is a sign that he is no longer the moral leader of his country or the world," the Council of Europe's secretary general, Thorbjorn Jagland, told Norwegian broadcaster TV2.... Jagland is also one of the five members of the Norwegian Nobel Committee, which annually awards the Nobel Peace Prize.... I don't want to defend the crap he said because it's outrageous, but isn't it legal in your country? Making a direct threat to an elected official isn't necessarily illegal but it normally gets you a visit from men in black suits who have zero sense of humor. If those men in suites determine the thread to be credible, as in you actually meant it and possibly were planning to execute on it, then very bad things can happen. There is a huge amount of grey area for someone to be in like that comedian holding a mock severed head of the current elected President. She didn't get into any legal trouble for that but you can be damn sure she had to answer questions from those black suites. |
