Does anyone else find it ridiculous that we have to deal with this ***every month? It's like the FFXI menstrual cycle.....

Why would it be ridiculous? It's an unfortunate reality. You should be happy that people are willing to work on it and fix it for us.

It _IS_ rediculous IMO, because SE won't just do what some others have done and condone and make information accessible to third party developers who want to make content for them, considering how much of their playerbase supports it.

That said, I'm extremely grateful to the windower coders and everyone interested in this sort of thing, it's made my XI experience infinitely more enjoyable.

Be assured that none of my annoyance (or hopefully the last poster's) is directed at these people.

Oh i'm 1,000,000% thankful to the people who do fix it. If i knew how to do it, i'd be working on it now. It's saving the game imo. Still, after 13 years (or however long it's been), SE still refuses to recognize that it's their playerbase that runs this game. It's their players that have created stuff that makes this game better.

Something unloads all plugins for me when I receive a tell. Trying to figure this one out right now...

It seems to happen whenever a plugin is loaded and it doesn't matter which one is loaded.

brb, /t spamming everyone...

Was going to post, "Thank you for not spelling it rediculous." Then I saw the next post.

Gearswap is causing client crashes on booting up, temporary resolve, turn off gearswap, and the game wont crash.

Guildwork plugin is also crashing. but that isnt causing the client crashing out altogether because it autounloads.

A new LuaCore has been pushed that will not crash when receiving messages. However, every plugin currently has that issue and they will all need to be recompiled. This will take a long time.

Also, the chat-related issues may not be fixed for a while, just a heads up.

Not just tell.

All my plugins were unloaded as soon as i entered adoulin from kamihr.

The line says:

Luacore encontered a fatal error and must be terminated. Error: access violation in incomingchunk method

It's any message, /tell, /say, /linkshell, /shout, etc. All of that should be fixed, but like I said, other problems are still there. Also, all plugins will need to be recompiled, which is a massive pain in the ***.

Also, Spellcast is most definitely broken now. The game will likely crash when trying to log in with it loaded.

I'm now able to log in which I couldn't do before you pushed the new luacore. That makes me happy. Thanks for everything you do! I'm not a programmer by trade but I have some basic knowledge and can follow directions pretty well. If you need any help with some of the busy work let me know, I'd be happy to contribute in any way that I can.

Plugins still unloading when sending tells on 2 different machines even after the luacore update. Could one of the plugins be causing this?

Like I said, every addon that does not require the chat log should work fine, so send should be good to use. And the filter won't help I'm afraid as it's a client-side filter, so you still get the packets for it.

This is unrelated to LuaCore, every plugin will need to be recompiled manually. I'll do that now.

Ok, what I consider the most essential plugins are recompiled. I'll do the rest after breakfast, it's almost lunch time <_<

There's not, but DrawDistance is no more. Use the Config plugin, it has been updated already.

Shortcuts and GearSwap were crashing game on login screen. Last login attempt I loaded Shortcuts manually in game, and didn't crash. However, suddenly everything apparently encountered a fatal error and unloaded itself. Reloaded luacore, loaded GearSwap - and crashed.

Edit: logged in normally (without Shortcuts and GearSwap loaded), seconds later everything unloaded itself.

Spellcast might not be gone quite yet, I recall an update previously that seemingly broke it but it was actually just a knock on of something else being broken.

If it is well...I already have THF and RDM lua files, would need to set up something for PLD and my alt's WHM and that's my major jobs covered for now.

13:13 <~Arcon> And again, chat-related stuff still doesn't work

Hey Arcon, I really appreciate your efforts to work on this so quickly.

My plugins are still unloading when anyone sends me a tell though :(
