this is my current stardiver set. I use Vougiers Contus still and currently working on Ryu. Havent rly read through all 7 pages. as far as legs go are lancers still better? earring is atk+4 tp+25 obv. Feet have STR+3 Polearm+4 STR+4 eludes me. Yeah, Lancers are better, Huggin are the best though. Rajas will beat out one of your rings... not sure which one though... I know Rajas/Pyro beats 2xPyro but not sure where Strigoi falls as far as Pyro vs Strigoi. Pretty sure Atheling beats Cerb as well, not 100% on that though, never considered Cerb really so I'll have a look into that later~

Yeah, you're right~ Siren.Ihm said: » Rajas will beat out one of your rings... not sure which one though... I know Rajas/Pyro beats 2xPyro That's for Drakesbane only, and that's only if you're in very specific dDEX ranges. Pyrosoul + Strigoi is going to be the best almost always, especially given DRG has really no issue with hit builds. Iunno, I used the DRG Calculator spreadsheet and it came out that Rajas + Strigoi beats Pyro + Strigoi so that's what I went by. Offline

depending on your weapon and your x-hit build, you may need rajas in your WS set as in my case to preserve your 5hit. For me it comes down to WSing in rajas/pyro but TPing in Pole Grip or WSing in pyrosoul/pyrosoul but TPing in rose strap. Pretty sure the 2% DA will help my DoT and WS frequency more. i don't have strigoi yet and still debating if I want to devote all that time for such a minor boost over a pyrosoul, probably ~0.5% increase over a pyro. Does strigoi really win for stardiver? it's -1 STR and +2 attack over a pyro...would think the +1 STR would be better for the WSC.

Just wondering how gala+windbuffet stack against elemental gorget+belt?

Ele gorget/belt would destroy them. The fTP boost from gorget/belt carry to all hits. It's a major boost in DMG.

kk, tyvm
Just wanted to check and see if there was anything I could do to make this better. Heca Feet+1 have Str4 Attack4 and lolscythe skill2
TPbonus earring, and a second Pyrosoul if your xhit allows for it, would be possible upgrades. (And Duplus grip, but good luck finding one xD)
Yeah... I'm on the 3rd mission for the earring... Too damned lazy to do it. lol

Hiya all
This is the Stardiver set I'm atm using My concern is about the legs slot: I have to choose among Phorcys dirs (that I'm using in store TP), Lancer's Cuissot +2 ( Drakesbane setting ), Ogier's breeches ( just dropped ) and naturally Whirlwind dirs. Heca are HQ 1 and w/o food/tricks/Red Bull or w/e the quoted setting gives me 91+ 68 STR . The Ogier's “increases weapon skill damage” is this worth to give a try ? Btw. Have a nice Xmas and a HQ 2013 to all. V(^_^)m ty for the attention Lahant said: » Hiya all This is the Stardiver set I'm atm using My concern is about the legs slot: I have to choose among Phorcys dirs (that I'm using in store TP), Lancer's Cuissot +2 ( Drakesbane setting ), Ogier's breeches ( just dropped ) and naturally Whirlwind dirs. I'm actually thinking that af3+2 or Avant +1 would be better to use on stardiver for drg. Since on anything but fodder drg can use any/all the attack it can get. Offline

Is Stardive a STR based WS ?
The swich Whirl/Ogier means a loss of 12 STR points that drops the total STR to 149. Is this balanced by the “increases weapon skill damage”? This is the core of my question Lahant said: » Is Stardive a STR based WS ? The swich Whirl/Ogier means a loss of 12 STR points that drops the total STR to 149. Use Avant +1 legs instead. Offline

thanks ^^ /wave
AF3+2 are the best legs for Diver though~
and why's that?
edit- ah ok just realized it has lower attack. but still pretty marginal, they seem pretty equal(I'd still favor avant+1, DA on a multihit yespls) unless you somehow have too much DA >.>; I guess if you cap attack from buffs and stuff then af3 wouldn't be best, but hey~
Sups,
Returned to game after a long while out. So I can see that Ogier's are out of the door now, such a shame. In anycase curious about a lot of people actually subbing out Lancer's Vambrace +2 for Phorcys Mitts. Is there a reason for that? I see the trade off being: Mitts w/ Korazin: 11 STR 23.25 ATK 2% DA Vambrace: 8 STR 4% DA +16 ACC 6 ATK Difference: 3 STR 17.25 ATK at a swap of 16 ACC 2% DA. I can see it's a decent amount of ATK for sure. It raises a question though: If that is better, mainly for the attack increase. Then wouldn't Avant Cuisses +1 also be better over Whirlwind Dirs? Am I completely wrong in interpreting the utility of the Phorcys? Kind regards Offline

First off AF3 legs trumps dirs/avant.
Secondly the Attack/STR do more than the acc/DA. Acc should be capped or near capped on virtually everything you fight endgame with Embrava though this will change soon with the nerfs.(Haste+Embrava put you at haste cap which meant you could get Minuetx2 + Madrigalx1 or 2 depending on if you have emp BRD or 2x BRD rotations, but in anycase, Acc is rarely an issue. The attack and str from phorcys are really nice, the set bonus is just icing. That 17ish attack is a fairly decent chunk of attack while the acc isn't much of a big deal when you're at the acc cap. You could be neurotic and use switches in your xml and have a Stardiver(Acc Build) set for when you're fighting evasive mobs but meh. Hi Ophannus,
Yeah, I like the trade off for the gloves. How would AF3 legs trump Dirs especially for Stardiver? Just because of the ATK? 12 STR +3% DA 9 ATK Legs - Dirs 9 STR +24.75 ATK - AF3 The difference between Dir's and AF3 is: 3 STR 3% DA -15.75 ATK. Is 15.75 ATK worth 3 STR and 3% DA? The only time you're gonna fight mobs that are that evasive is like legion really, which you probably should be using acc food for anyway rather than weakening your gear. |
