I'll flat out say it - I'm pro-life. I'm proud to defend and support the legal rights of a cluster of undeveloped cells buried in a mass of flesh. The rationale of my stance is largely derived from a religious origin. As I do not regularly attend church, I have no way of explaining what the organized factions are currently championing as the basis of their argument; I can only explain that my position comes from careful spiritual contemplation and examination of the word of the Lord. I will continue to push for pro-life objectives by supporting proposed statutes that grant protection to unborn children (via letters and e-mails, however likely neglected, to my representatives). The overwhelming majority on the interwebs tends to lean rather far left, but I am certainly not alone outside of our digital corridors.
Someone always has to ruin it for everyone.
Ironic name as well.

Stopped reading at page three when I saw the same tired BS of "If they're not ready then they should be able to abort if they want to!" argument for the umpteenth time. I was adopted at 10 days old from a pair of silly teenagers who weren't ready. Thanks for not killing me.

I'm pro-choice, I just think that not being ready for a child is a really shitty reason when there are plenty of people out there that would love nothing more than to have a child, but for whatever reason can't.

In before "I don't wanna get fat and have snatch pain for something I'm not gonna keep." More BS. Did the crime, do the time. Probably less psychological trauma, as well.

Just what child services needs, more unwanted children. Since they got plenty of funds, have plenty of staff and don't cost tax payers more.

I also wasn't aware that consensual sex between two adults was a crime.

If you were aborted, you wouldn't have known about it to make your flawed argument anyways.

And, research has demonstrated that abortion does not cause trauma but giving birth, the stress of dealing with a child you are not prepared for and especially adoption can cause a great deal of problems in addition to postpartum.

You know what would cause trauma? People who performing abortions themselves, perhaps permanently damaging their internal organs, because their government would no longer provide the services for one.

I'm clearly biased on that one. *** the logistics, as far as I'm concerned.

If we got rid of welfare, maybe they could get some additional funding...

Let me think about that. Eliminate welfare, and put those funds into raising unwanted children.

Isn't that what a lot of welfare is already going for? Baby factories that want a bigger check, not necessarily children?

Honestly welfare is a crutch. I think it's misused more than it's used for temporary help. However, what you're suggesting is instead pay people money for adopting kids? Isn't that already a thing though?

To clarify since I'm not paying too much attention, is to use welfare to instead create a huge government baby factory.

No, what I was suggesting was to cut welfare entirely and give that funding to whatever agency deals with adoption. And I was only half joking.

So, for the adoption option.. would you like to carry the child to term, pay for the medications, doctors visits, and new clothes, and make up for the work that later pregnancy/child birth prohibits? Or are you content with forcing someone else to do that; I mean, not your uterus not your problem, right? Lol, no. Go away.

Oh, and by the way, unless the child is going to be white with a good genetic history, it's probably not going to be adopted, sorry!

Did you miss the part where I said I was clearly biased and don't give a *** about the logistics? My post was really just a rant on how I think "I'm not ready for a child." is a *** argument for abortion.

Well then, after having two children she still feels the need that other women who aren't ready to have one, still should go though all that, that's her opinion.

Fair enough. Can't really argue with that.

Choice is great and dandy, but do we really need the government handing out more cash they clearly don't have?

There's no point in arguing with someone as biased as my sister or I anyways, you'll never change our opinions.

It's all circumstantial to me. I have cousins who were adopted. I can't imagine our family without them now. I adore kids too.

I will say that if Ortho Evra failed me in late high school or college, I wouldn't have been opposed to having an abortion. I would feel ashamed of myself if I didn't have the means or maturity to give a child everything that my parents gave to me and my brother and then some.

I don't use them. She was supposed to be on the pill, but you know women, lol...

Also it's a sorta long story. She was technically going out with my best friend (well not anymore) and they were having a rough patch, and well to makes things simple I was like I got this.
