Why should a guy be forced into financial obligation and possible psychological trauma and years of debt?
I'll say this... he shouldn't have had sex with her... but that being said.. she shouldn't have had sex with him. Sex both parties (except in the case of rape... but it can work both ways.. men have been raped by women... it has happened... in fact less men report they have been raped then women if you were to scale it down.) Either way if you can't at least use protection then you can't even *** about abortion.
Just out of curiosity where do you stand when protection is used? protection can fail, regardless of the method(s) you use.
im bored so im gunna write more lol i wouldnt have an abortion myself but after watching my sister get so torn up and struggle with her baby, if someone doesnt want to its up to them :o
Oh wait, the woman doesn't have to accept any consequences, she can have an abortion. She has 100% safe sex, she can shuck the burden of being a mother, or impose the burden of being a financial father upon someone else. She can realistically accept no responsibility for her actions and continue living her life, assuming the guy pays the money.
If you want society to be equal, you are first going to have to accept that women are not a victim of sex if they get pregnant.
You have a point, but you are also forgetting life ain't fair and life isn't equal... why is it that in Washington that men's wrestling was disbanded cause some women wanted to join but they wouldn't let them. They were allowed to put a team together and didn't have members to support it. Why is it in all other olympic events men and women are separated due to the difference in physical and mental abilities. (don't misread that... I'm not talking about men and women being smarter than another... so don't go there) so the mens team was disbanded thanks to a law suit.
If you don't want kids as a girl, don't *** or get your tubes tied
like.
Too bad it doesn't work that way. If she doesn't want the kid, she has the choice to get rid of it, lol.
I was talking to guys from a legal standpoint, not a moral one.
Not to mention certain places you have to have so many kids before you can get it done (unless getting pregnant is an actual, serious medical concern..)
A girl getting her tubes tied isn't always an option.
If you don't want kids as a guy, don't *** or get a vasectomy
Or keep it covered
I'm fairly certain any kind of birth control can fail. With the exception of abstinence. :x
But then some crazy lady could tie you down, jack you off, and take your sperms, which is technically rape so the guy shouldn't be responsible for the child... I wonder if that's actually happened. >.>

I don't see the problem here..
If she gets pregnant and tries to make you pay child support. :x

I don't think this exactly supports your argument.
I said, if you want society to be equal...
I think that obviously implies that society is not equal, which is your argument.

Personally, I want society to be equal.
No but it supports what I said about life being unfair... equality doesn't always mean fair and just.

Oh.. Right I had this completely different mental image built up.. Nevermind.
In the largely improbable chance that I manage to engage in a coital relationship with a woman, and also get her pregnant, I would want to see the child born.
But that's because by the time this happens, I assume that I will have the means to provide for the child and woman. If the woman agrees to have the child, I would try and father the ***out of that child.
So in that aspect, I guess I'm pro-choice. I would personally like to have a child if I'm in a position that I can take care of it.
But I'm pro-choice. Why should I impose my views on other people? Why shouldn't women be allowed to control their own bodies? Essentially, the early stages of pregnancy are just a parasitic cluster of cells without any neural activity, so it's not like anything is lost.
I am staunchly pro-choice, because I believe everyone should have the option to say "I'm not ready for this. I thought I was, but I'm not," or "***, THE CONDOM BROKE AND WE DON'T WANT KIDS!" or "Oh my, I don't want that rapists' child!" or "It was an accident" or, "I like killing fetuses."
Why should I deny the rights of others?
Pro-choice; in an ideal situation, I'd like to choose having the child. But I acknowledge that the ideal situation is not easy to have, that people change their minds, that ***happens, and that what other people do is none of our business unless it affects us.
Some would say, "Well, they had sex, they brought it upon themselves!"
To this, I say, someone's sex life is none of your business. Why should we deny people options?
Edit: If we've reached a point in society where we can have our cake and eat it too, why should we be bogged down with only choosing one thing?

Lol, this is the wrong place for that. ITT we have to argue about how unfair it is that women get to choose whether or not to kill their child. :p

I once thought this too...
came to bite me in the ***
I'm assuming 10 years down the line for me, after I have paid off my student loans and have a job.
If something happens before that, either I'm going to wrap the hell out of it or abstain. If the worst case happens, well ***. I *** up. If she wants an abortion, I'd be all for it.
You're not responsible for any spills, acts of God or unforeseen circumstances.
Lol... that's like trying to get a woman to sign a prenup... lol gl with that... mood killer..just slip on a condom when she isn't looking... though she will feel the difference soon enough.

It seems healthier to just stop and ask, "If the unfortunate event of conception were to happen, would I be comfortable fathering a child with this woman?" If the answer is no, don't do it. >.>
