Same happened in the beta, the camps outside cities were camped because running to is soo hard.

It's overwhelming at first, but it gets easier really quickly, I promise you..

i ended up exploring and finding my own spots to level. and ill go there again to level up. outside the city isnt the only spot to find squirrels or rats

Other than people I know from here it's been pretty much like that since I started on closed beta lol. Though I had got thrown the random cure sometimes

This made me sigh. What else do you expect the first day? Everyone wants to level up and explore, how is anyone (other than people who played beta) gonna know any more than you do at this point? How could they possibly help you out the first day?

You can level up (i.e. get exp) in other activities, I remember. Like I've seen screen shots of people getting exp from crafting and fishing. You could always just do one of those other jobs for a bit.

Give it a couple days and some of it will empty out. During OB and even now it hasn't been much of an issue. Exploring a bit would help. Caves tend to be crowded because they often have good exp mobs in them. If you're lucky and find one for yourself people are pretty good about not coming in and fking it up, especially if they see you grinding through them.
Theres a lot of obscure areas you can find mobs. I tend to stay away from camps etc since people are generally stupid and don't venture very far from camps to kill.
As for the gameplay troubles...no offense but you seriously should read the manual. :\

I really encourage those those are already bawwwwwwwwwwing to just give up. Although if you aren't a total retard and take the time to do some exploring/looking around you'd realize trying to grind on mobs is the worst way to earn xp period. The only real issue I can see someone complaining about it that there seems to be (at least for me) still a good bit of lag, even with green latency. I haven't tried adjusting my settings yet either mind you, started out with max settings, but that will be my next step. My only thing is, if my settings were too high, the cutscenes would lag, they have better graphics AND the action going on is 10x faster, so meh iono

I'm sorry, what? You're actually trying to compare the 360 lolbeta of XI, a game that had been out for 5 YEARS at that point, with this? Really?
And, pray tell, how would people who were in the XIV beta be past those points since we have to level too? Oh that's right, XI's 360 lolbeta chars moved right over to final because, now say it with me, IT WASN'T A BETA. I dunno if you know this but real betas, not lolbetas of games that have been out for years in other countries/on other platforms, have character wipes a the end.
edit: also, before I forget, XI NA PS2 beta was a lolbeta too, and even that had a char wipe.
