no rank change from 6 to 7 at 700 or 701 titles

so either gotta go up even more (which I won't :x), or has nothing to do with titles

edit: and I went from 633 rank 6, to now 701 titles rank 6

big things I've never done in game that maybe might be rank affected crap: a master trial, raised/raced a chocobo

What gave me rank 2 was Finishing the Dawn Mission

For that to work, it had to be;
Missions- but I completed every storyline now, not even rank 3
Titles- undetermined amount(s)
Specifically- CoP being an actual requirement for a +1
"Points"- Cleared this many bc

Or there are hard specifics holding me from hitting rank 3 (hours played? Jobs mastered? crafts?)
Specific ROE amounts? (#conflict #content) Instead of blanket total?

have we even seen an rank 8 yet? I know a few rank 7s popped up to say so

if abyssea all quests/max fame is a thing that matters for it, it would make sense why I'm not yet rank 7 :x... don't have any of that

Genuinely running out of ideas. Titles and/or time played the only things left. It may be impossible to be rank 3 with only two weeks play time. Cause seriously.

well I'll keep doing titles slowly over the next week or two and try to get to 750, maybe at that point total quests or something will rank me up

Mog gardens gives a shitload of titles.

The main difference between my chars above is that the crafter one also have all mog garden and monster rearing quests done. While the others are behind and even them, they are already at rank5+ on gardens and 2 on monster rearing. Just that difference is like 20 titles between them.


The rank/floor is the most consistant idea atm, but there are other possibilities.

This weekend gonna definitively beat zilart, but one thing just occured to me, and gonna pay attention to check this. Maybe isnt just the completion but its tiered to completing a specific RoE. For example, I cleared missions and hit the goal. But maybe just gonna receive the rank up after completing the RoE quest.

So, for anyone reaching a suposed goal, try checking rank before reaching the goal, before completing the RoE and after completing the RoE.

Thats what i gonna do with zilart.

I've been doing gardens (and coalitions and WoE and crafting now etc) just not marking progress as it shouldn't have a specific "target" other than complete.

401 titles and no rank up

Rank 4 - total time played is: 798 days

Titles are priced between 200 and 800 Gill, so I suppose its conceivable that each title must be weighted by its cost, so an 800 Gill title is worth 4 times as much as a 200 Gill titles

It's all a guess, some titles might not count at all. Might not be titles at all.

I can't think of any metric possible that would still have me at rank 2 if it were evenly tiered.

The only thing I could be ~30% (2/7) done with is quests or titles

And if I got the "mission" rank +1, then surely I should've gotten a +1 for jobs or crafts or quests by now since the mission bar would've been very low.

Can I just say that as ***as crafting is, HELMing is so much worse. Even with fleehacks you can spend a half hour looking for a *** tree and get one cut. then spend another 30 minutes looking for another one.

Probably the best approach for that is writing a mini script that gonna keep checking a same place every minute, then go to sleep, work.

For my others chars coalition, not gonna search one, gonna just wait it respawn

I mean, yeah, but, that's not conducive to efficiency.

Trying to harvest in every single zone in the game 5 times... not 8 hours in one zone.

What would be preferable is updated maps with helming locations. Like when I see a logging spot I save that on taco but it doesn't really help until the next character.

I mean, there's a whole shitload of random stuff I COULD do. But I'm not. Just expected SOME progress and being met with none.

800 days playtime - no rank up

After an entire week just running daily tasks, just now i picked back Zilart.

Given how short its, maybe tomorrow gonna have some closure.

I just entered on vacation too, so now its my time.

Gonna run my cooking mule through Escutcheon quests, i suspect clearing the crafts RoE from shield phase 2 should be one rank up goal.

Cooking is ***though... i hate those GP items.

If these titles weren't such a pain in the ***, I think I'd have it it nailed. Only getting like 20 titles a day...

2 rank 6 with 600 titles, and that guy is rank 4 with 400 titles. I'm rank 2 with 290 titles. It HAS to be it. It's just where are the break points.

(and whoever keeps killing all the 24 spawn title mobs i'm gonna slap the *** out of, spiritually) What possible reason would you have to kill Hydra Khim and Cerb. KA Sim Roc LJ why in the hell are they all dead every day. I would set an account at each of them just to slap the ***out of you, but you're not worth that much lost time.

Maybe due to return campaign there is a lot of those "nostalgia" boys, that just want to grab 119 gear and kick the *** of those old mobs.

Maybe now it should be easier to get those NMs up now that the casuals are gone
