Knockback reduction isn't 100% from gear (plus it has to be on all the time which is a pain), and I think as was said there are plenty of cases where it just bugs out completely anyway.

I mean I find it hilarious that they created a thing and it's just broken for most use cases because of how much spaghetti udon they have in their code.
It's apparently every move with knockback created before December 2014 where knockback reduction just doesn't work unless EVERYONE hit has knockback reduction.
Think about that for a minute. Apparently, they're now making moves in such a way that it's no longer a thing but it's still a thing for all the old moves. So whatever fix they did in december 2014 wasn't retroactive which means the fix is on a per-move basis in some way. So however they coded knockbacks in ye olde days was in a such a way that it screwed gear that didn't even exist unless there's hidden effects we don't know about.

In vanilla WoW, 5k gold was a huge amount of money. There were plenty who struggled to save up even 1k for an epic mount. Several players went into TBC without ever obtaining an epic mount.
Having played both, I would say today, it's semi-close. If you can get a group who can regularly spam Ambuscade, I'd say 90M is easier to get.

i'm far from a expert in wow but i believe you compare vanilla wow with classic. i've seen a some video that demonstrates instance farm strategies that were apparently not discovered or not very commonly knowen until later and due to that farming gold is supposed to be quicker in classic than it was in vanilla.
Classic is a lot different from vanilla. It's aesthetically and mechanically the same but people went into classic with over a decade and a half of knowledge about it. All the juicy secrets and tricks are not only well known but there are hundreds or thousands of videos showing how to do things that did not exist back then.

You can't have someone streaming, particularly if they're considered "popular" (only in the world of XI's viewer count would I consider him popular as his view count is almost non-existent if that is carried over to any game with a real player base) who is not only doing things that aren't allowed but doing so many, and flagrantly at that.
And that's not to say they're strictly only banning him, but when the RMT are HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE enough to try and have a popular twitch channel and still dream of keeping the accounts they use(d), and snorejin gets banned over them, perhaps you'd have a point. That's not the case however.

a lot of us fit the bill of "if I can't use this 3rd party quality of life enhancement* to play this game I really like, which has unfortunate clunky/cumbersome/20-year-old controls, i'd simply not play, so even risking a ban is worth the enjoyment I get from playing currently (and maybe if I was banned it'd liberate me of my addiction)"

For about 5 or 6 months until Ejin gets banned again or Square sacks up and does a banpocalypse, probably.... aka... until... it is indeed "that time again" !

Absolutely this, and that's why I've said it before, I am certain sure Square Enix is glad these quality of improvements exist, something which they have failed to do so over the years. If Square would have invested in development during the early stages of the game when it was thriving, we would have ultimately seen these changes implemented natively. From the best addons, which in my humble opinion is by far GearSwap and it's counter part Ashitacast (special thanks to the developers, and Arislan for making awesome LUAs), to all the other addons that modernized Final Fantasy 11.
