I don’t even play anymore, but was reading this thread to see if the new content was interesting.
If you’re all looking for some sort of Mandragora drop, maybe that BCNM 40 that everyone used to do for Erase scrolls back in 2004?
Some sort of Magicked Doll in a tower, maybe it’s not a Cardian, but one of those Dolls in either Pso’Xja or Delkfutt’s? Not sure if that makes sense for this quest - as everyone seems to be looking around Windurst. Pso’Xja does have some strong ties to Windurst though.

Now killing a bunch of Mandies in The Boyahda Tree for couple mins then looking for next place.
The Avatar quests all have the little talking dolly and the muddled memory wipe for when you exchange the whisp for the reward.
Diabolos is also the "Ruler of Dreams", creator of the dreamland plane of Dynamis.
I think I still have a redo of the regular repeatable Waking Dreams up, will also check the iLv fight. (Though I think it would be easily seen if it had been the old fight, cause that would change the reward choice list, which would have been noticed by now in the dats.)

The next mission is for sure a battle as they added to the east sarutabaruta 3 yagudos and a cardian called king of spades, and the point to pop seems to be disturbed earth at east saruta j-8.
But still nothing conclusive about the dream flower petal and the dialogues doesn't help much: (after tading the item)

This is a bit of a stretch, but has anyone tried any of the “out of way” Windy zones, like Purgo-Nurgo Isle?
Well SE marked my big report as "Working as Intended" but I'm still skeptical they added it to loot tables.

Anyways, Diabolos is likely out. Did 7 of his merit fight and nothing, had the regular fight up so did that too and nothing changed to the redeem list like I suspected.
"sealed deep within the tower" isn't referring to Horutoto or Pso'Xja, it's referring to Heavens Tower.
Beneath Heavens Tower is Toraimarai Canal. The area that's sealed in there is behind the "Marble Door" that we accessed in Windurst 7-1 (The Sixth Ministry). Behind that door is an exit port directly into Heavens Tower. The Sixth Ministry is the Animastery in case you forgot. It deals with the creation of Cardians. It is definitely what's being talked about.

Normally we pass the Marble Door with the Optistery Ring KI, but that's consumed in the Windy missions and received from Tosuka-Porika at the Optistery - who isn't currently giving out new ones.
So that's what they're talking about, but does it have any bearing on finding the Dream Flower Petal? Might we need to trade something to that Marble Door? Might the drop be hanging around in Toraimarai?

At this point, I've killed every mob in the canal and opened a decent number of chests (just in case) and gotten nothing. I don't think it comes from the canal.

Think I got something.. I found a place marked Peculiar Rootprints in Rolanberry Fields S at H-14. If you have the survival guide, its right there. Checked it and got a cutscene full of plantoids.

Considering breaking out my stack of 99 Gobbie Box Keys in the hope of RNG cheesing it... XD
It is hard to think the item isn't lycopodium related. I started down a path of treants because I remembered the pink leaved ones and they use slumber powder, but on further digging it seems the pink ones were just event npcs? (I went to KRT to kill cherry saplings and wajoam to kill some treants anyway, no dice so far)
I think any new interaction point introduced by ressurgence gonna have the aspect of brilliant gas. The two interaction points from the first missions were like there.
So if there isnt that gas flowing, i think the chance to be related to the new mission gonna be lower.

the npc mentions a white rolanberry for kupipi.... ripe white rolanberry new item... perhaps give one to kupipi for clue?
