OK I'm actually with you more often than not on mocking some of these kinds of decisions. But not this one.

Come on man, we just got freaking empy items for the first time since summer 2022! And that was paired with a very solid 1500-point item of an Alabaster Matter. I'm inclined not to complain about the next month not reaching the same heights.

All of my characters got 2500 points for Jan and spent them all so they are now sitting at zero. I'm actually pleased to have a lame month so I can build them back up to 700 points to carry over for a future good month, and deactivate my mule army until they need to be called back into active service.

For someone like me starting from 0 this month, you wouldn't even be able to afford a 1500-point item and still keep the 700 to roll over. Max new points this month will be 1800 from 21 logins (which does require the partial first day, i.e., login in the 7-hour window between campaign start at Midnight PST and 7am PST/Midnight JST).

My only minor complaint is less about the 1500 point item, but that the 500 point ones are also trash this month. Could have at least grabbed 1-2 of those and still kept my 700, but this month's Rem's Tales 6-10 are obviously a very weak prize. Oh well, can always dump extra points on 5-point Beastmen's Seals this month. Or just hit my 700 and then be able to stop worrying about it for this month.

We've seen Murky Matter, Alabaster Matter, Old Case +1, and Impish Box (not that bad of a reward on a main, IMO) recently from 1500 points, if they keep that kind of stuff in the rotation that's not bad to me. I'm fine getting a breather from an occasional weak reward month.

Could have atleast been a Venus Orb for 1500 points.

It's the same exact argument as mars orb. You get 10+ matter per month. But you only get one from log in. That's not even worth the effort.

If the matters were same account sendable though, they'd have had a banger. You'd have seen millions of dollar mules firing up.

This isn't a bad compromise. The choice of an Amatter, Mmatter, trove orb, earring+1, or impish box monthly

Something anyone would want to choose from, instead of all or nothing. I don't think anyone could be disappointed by one of those 5 options for at least 5 years. But that's very different from no options.

It's always connected. The 1500 point item last month was... three empyrean items. And honestly, I'd have been a little annoyed if I had to choose between 3x empy items and an Old Case +1 in any month.


Hahahahahahahahaha you act like I'm doing all those Limbus climbs. I'll gladly take the murky/alabaster matter on my main when they show up.

And those are totally not the same thing as going to speak to an NPC once for a free monthly Mars Orb. Also, 10 Mars Orbs a month? That's a very try-hard approach, if you want to spend that much time doing stuff to get Mars Orbs, knock yourself out. I'll use my time on other things.

Yeah that does seem ideal, and quite reasonable. But if we can't have perfect, I'm fine with the occasional miss of a month if they more or less continue giving us pretty decent quality login reward like they have been recently.

Mars Orb is a free 2.5M. I'll take 5M between my main and one mule, for the low effort of clearing out my Dbox throughout the month, something I already do anyways.

If you're not doing your 40 climbs a month you're missing out.

Not only on the gear you aren't upgrading but the exemplar and the piles of gil.

Every 30 minute limbus climb has potential to be worth like 10m. Far superior to a seg run or an omen swart farm.

Maximum limbus should be your priority one. It's too good to not be doing the max amount. Even if it's shitty to do.

If only Gil was a motivator. Honestly if solo I’d rather watch a moogle spin for an hour than do a limbus.

Are you using corsair roll during your Limbus climbs?

Maybe it's not as good as the top-end EP camps, but it also gives you limbus points on top it's not just EP.

Like EP is supposed to be - get it while doing content.

Here's the real catch - if you're botting EP why aren't you botting Limbus to get EP and Limbus points at the same time?

Inb4 "botting Limbus is a quick way to get banned", no, try again. There have been camps of limbus bots since day1, same characters still there.

They can be used for RDM "no TP feed" solo strat against Odin.

There was rumors going around about limbus bannings of prominent members of forums here. But I think they were POS hacking personally, still think SE doesn't care outside of the auto system.
