I did want that, too bad they dont allow most of these to be transferable. They would make a lot more off some whales lol, I mean what even is the point to prohibiting people from using the pells on the same characters or transfering these items?

No, OG SE was quite cruel. Mythic weapons used to require 50,000 alexandrite in the 6-10 months of their release.

I wonder what's happening with besieged. They had scheduled the final besieged update for January, then it got delayed, but apparently, it's not even making February.

I know they are adding more rewards to buy with imperial standing accolades, and that's probably related to the hold up, but I wonder if they're doing something for the final update besides cranking up the ilevel and that's contributing too.

Beastmaster tears ran dry decades ago. Find another job to hate on :shakes fist:.

We have had seven consecutive months of relatively major updates to Limbus, Dynamis, Lilith HTMB, Coalition Assignments, Besieged and other systems but one month of just Ambuscade updates (which is all we were getting not too long ago) is suddenly lazy? There is a zero percent chance that anyone is completely done with Limbus (unless you're actively avoiding the content, which I fully respect) so I cannot imagine how you're in need of more brand new content. Some of y'all gotta check your entitlement and be grateful for what we do get.

February update basically always runs lean. This one is a little leaner than usual, but nothing particularly out of the ordinary. Plus what Hya said.

On the contrary. So long as there's Mastery Levels and Limbus climbs to do (you're never ever ever going to be done with this, have you done your 10 weekly climbs yet!?), they can take a full year off of updates and you'll STILL have occupying content to keep you busy.

By the way, yall kinda did it to yourselves, limiting your content options, seeing as how most of you steamrolled Master Levels by overnight botting. There could have been EP groups and other things to do with your time, but since everyone just overnighted ML50 and steamrolled through Odyssey with Amp/Ooze triple cheese, checked off the list, and now you have nothing to use your ML50 5/5 R30 Gleti BST for. Tough. If there's nothing left for you to do, get off the game for your own sake.


Also, BST is a complete joke, you should totally move on from it and stop expecting it will ever be anything in modern FFXI. Or just minmax it to your heart's content and get the most out of it. It has not aged well and has been basically forgotten except for a handful of niche uses. If you're still waiting on that BSTdate, you are in a very very sad state and you should seek help...

It's not entitlement. Limbus is so boring. You're not trying to imagine hard enough.

First of all, dingus. Don't equate playing Beastmaster with mental illness. I literally play every job. I can always play something else within FFXI (you probably equate this to mental illness, along with posting here).

I'm assuming SE is still operating on the results of the 2024 survey, which includes job adjustments. I prefer to keep SE accountable for the things they say they're going to do. New content drops usually come with new BST pets (at least once every few years). That's not unreasonable, even if for SE's slow pace for updates. But, I definitely am aware of how's SE's job adjustments feedback goes:

I didn't say anything about a mental illness being related to playing BST. If you're still holding out hope they "fix BST" (they've said numerous times this is how they feel BST should be played, within 5 yalmks, ready system, fake Palworld), you're coping really hard.

What, you wanted other jobs adjusted? They're fine though, you got master levels to fix the bad spots, now if you dont mind they need to take a decade to work on ilvl campaign. Really though ill be shocked if they ever do some real job adjustments again, especially for pet jobs

As much as I wholeheartedly support this, I acknowledge it wouldn't be an easy task even with a full fledged team, imagine now with their skeleton crew.

Something they could and should do at least is some small QoL stuff.

Loosening the 9 yalms distance thing they added in the early Escha era when people were slamming everything to the ground with semi-afk BST armies?
I mean I can understand why they did it BACK THEN, but right now do we still need such a limitation? If not remove it at least make it a bit less tight, I dunno.

Small stuff like that is something they definitely should do.
But "fixing" the job to the root is frankly impossible at this point imho.

Yeah this was my only real disappointment, knowing they originally had the Besieged update scheduled for January and had already talked about it coming soon, I was hoping the delay was just a minor one and we'd see it for Feb.

I never really expect major surprises in the monthly updates though, especially in the off-months from their Limbus revisions which so far have been getting substantial updates every 3 months - June September December 2025, so March 2026 would be next up if that schedule persists.

I will kinda disagree here. BST was recently massively buffed through items.

First of all, Hoxne Ampulla is a massive boost for BST, because the biggest difference between BST and WAR personal dps was multi attack rate.
With Hoxne this is completely evens out.
In current state of the game, you will usually use single pet for a long time, so switching ammo isn't a problem that will prevent BST from using Ampulla.
BST also has access to Malignance, which synergizes very well with Amupulla.
BST has slightly weaker, but still very high Fencer TP bonus and it's lack of attack can be mitigated with def down debuffs or attack buffs from pet.
There is also Ikenga axe which has excellent synergy with all BST's main weapons.
If you have all the weapons, there is plenty of Axe WSs for each occasion.
BST mains probably also took Diamond Aspis from free kupon, which should be an amazing self skillchain toy with Ampulla and Fencer.

Overall I would say BST is doing better than ever.

THA BEING SAID, im not a BST and I'm fully expecting some BST jump on me now, that it's now what they want and they want BST to watch from 20 yalms how their PETS do the damage and they want to charm stuff and cricket to one shot group of twenty Apex mobs like it does non ilvl stuff.

This can be applied to all of the pet jobs, and even some of the non-pets that are in a bit of an awkward spot(THF, NIN as ex.) but SE seems to be in the mindset of just adding to jobs rather than going back and readjusting/upgrading older things, last big "adjustment" iirc was them taking merit spells out and replacing them with merit traits instead, cant remember if PLD/MNK changes came before or after that but those were the last big(relatively) job overhauls, everything else has just been an addition.
