They had to actually boot up the things and put those models in the zones, all that effort and we just get monthly ambu rotations... It's funny, but I wish they would even do these joke things lol. Need some ilevel besieged, I'd enjoy that actually.

Everyone on Asura, be sure to remind Draylo what he said when you're all spamming the zone to Al Zahbi, praying for people inside to disconnect XD

We'll probably get broken crystals again. And that random Elvaan kid running around at Flee speed. But yeah, we'd much prefer implementing some new content. Even if it's just another Flan-type fight every 3-4 months, it would be better than nothing.

The crazy part is, they put more work into a fake update than they do for most actual updates.

They do a poor job addressing the time/day. I'm never 100% sure either.

It's based on california/pacific time but they've screwed up a few times.

I can't speak to the times they've messed it up, but this patch couldn't possibly be more clear. A date/time given with a timezone is precisely when it says it is. The only possible confusion is on the part of the person failing to translate that date/time into the date/time where they live, which is a mistake on the user's part, not the company. They could publish the release time in 24 different timezones, but they probably assume that the people interpreting this are adults with access to the internet so even if they can't do the math in their heads, they can use a calculator to do it for them. Everyone in the US knows what EDT, CDT, MDT, and PDT are relative to the place they live, so it's extremely easy to convert. The EU website lists it in GMT and BST, presumably times that people in Europe are quite comfortable translating from.

Never realised there was a separate EU site posting the same updates. They used to put CST and GMT in the same post and always got GMT wrong by an hour.

What if they really did make Besieged ILVL and if the AC is in safe hands there is an exemplar/capacity/Exp point bonus of +15% in all ToA areas.

That would get people to protect the AC. ?

GMT compared to PST is different to GMT compared to PDT, could be the effect you're seeing. Some information (with no dates). DST is between early March -> Early November.

Japan not observing daylight savings probably confuses people in time zones that do, in this case probably 99.9% of the NA playerbase.

Up EP gain in the area, add some kinda point system ala the DI rework to motivate players to keep doing it anytime it appears, give EP on its own at all, just make it rewarding and people will do it really, same could be said with campaign but that's a lot wider a change

Thats a terrible idea because all it will do is funnel all the EP groups bots to Bhaflau. Maybe it would make Alzadaal worth it for some, but I highly doubt it.

First announcement-
Playonline.com said:
The next version update is scheduled for Tuesday, April 2.

Second announcement-
Playonline.com said:
The April 1 Version Update brings changes to Naji, a new Mog House feature, and more!

This has happened more than a few times. The announcement with the banner has displayed different days than the All Worlds Maintenance listed in the 'latest news' links.

its just localization issues, not directly SE. Timezone overlap, complicated by DST (does seem to happen more annually during this window than not). Hell, the update does happen on Apr 2 in North American Eastern Time, but happens Apr 1 for Mountain/Pacific.

Ignoring the obvious that one of those announcements is for a real update and the other is for an April fools joke

As far as why it would happen for a real update vs a real update, the main announcement is originally made in Japanese, where the update is happening on the morning of April 2nd. The latest news post lists the PDT time, where it's happening on the evening of April 1st.

The time and date under the recent news is always correct. The announcement topic further down the webpage has been incorrect several times that were not April fools jokes.

Personally I spend my points as I earn them, but I know several people who were caught out and lost their ambu spoils.

They put more effort into this than anything post-TVR. It's not even funny, it's just obnoxious. It just makes me hate the people making decisions about this game more and more. They're out of their *** minds if they think I'm going to FFXIV or any other garbage they put out.

So the 'fake' update is on April fools, but the real update is also on april fools... despite the 'real' update announcement saying it's not? What *** is this?
