Omen card farming and chasing bodies sucks and is unfair on new players. They should allow us to trade 3 scales of any kind for 15 cards of any job which is on the jobs which the scale can be used for. 100 scales from a nm to get the body from it would be fair too. This is still 3 months of daily effort to farm.

I had 300+ Gin scales across 2 chars when farming bodies that I have not yet dropped despite currently being worthless.

Kin for SBII on WAR and DRK for Mboze/sortie bosses?
Kei is good/best idle piece for GEO?

I don't think he was saying that he's going to drop the bodies, he's saying he should drop the scales, because they're useless. All Omen bodies still have a use, many of them have great uses for multiple jobs

Used to be by far the BiS TP body for BRD in the age of Carnwenhan when riding AM3.
These days BRD is, sadly, all about Naegling.
Ashera Harness can still be BiS in some setups, it kinda depends.
I'm of course ruling out Nyame A.
Nyame B R30, strangely enough, is quite a nice option for BRD.

SAM too, but pretty niche piece if you ask me.

It's nice. Pretty good for idle sets where you want to cap DT while also capping pet DT and without using the neck slot (which is used for JSE neck+2).
I mean Nyame is arguably better but it lacks refresh, that's instead present on Kei body.

Udug Jacket has some very specific uses for Pet Jobs but in general it's pretty meh.
Can't comment on the RNG/COR body, sorry.

Pet DT: Idris and Geomancy Mitaines+3 - pet DT is capped
Personal DT (pick your poison): Sortie earring, Dring, Empy head, Empy feet, Ambu back, Platinum Moogle Belt, Genmei shield.

Can easily cap pet and personal DT without a single concern about pet DT, while using JSE neck. Can cap it with 0 DT on Ring2, Earring1, neck, body, legs, and back. Or swap some DT on any of those slots to gain freedom in the other slots. It's pretty trivial if you have access to gear

Like if I said, "This ribbon is really useful for driving roofing nails with a hammer without using a hydraulic press". You might understand that to mean that driving roofing nails with a hammer without using a hydraulic press is a difficult thing, and that a hydraulic press might be necessary for doing that thing.

IDK, just a misunderstanding on the phrasing I guess. The body is great for GEO, and frankly for pretty much every job on it, for idle sets because of the PDT, refresh, and resist silence. Very nice piece, and can open up some extra slots (see above) to add more refresh, defense, meva, or whatever you'd like!

I still think AJ v2 is a good option. Gives up the DT but with Bunzi and Nyame filling some of your other slots, trades up for attack and maintains the same STP.


While it still has use, Shamash is losing the refresh war to empy +3 bodies.

Dagon is still niche ZTP strat piece.

Udug sees use in magic based sets for jugs and automatons, but I don't know about SMN.

Nisroch probably still in midshot for AM? I haven't updated RNG in a while, but probably more useful for them than for COR.

I didn't even realize the new AJ existed, interesting...If you can't get Ashera I guess it's decent, but it's not even remotely competitive if you have both. I would never trade acc for atk on BRD, especially not when losing DT, Meva, eva, and resist paralyze for the trade. Ashera is bis for BRD TP by a country mile (barring Nyame A). Nyame B is slightly better defensively, but significantly worse in terms of DPS, even in Naegling builds with no mythic AM3. 5 DA has nothing on 10 STP, it's not even close.

You should if you would benefit from the atk and not the acc. That situation exists. I would also argue that if people exist in the world of BiS, they aren't taking damage because they have proper buffs, tanks and healers doing their job, ect.

It's an option when it's an option, just like everything else in this game.

I guess theoretically you can calculate your acc cap for every piece of content and then swap out ~20 more attack if you don't need the acc anymore, but I guess I'm just too lazy to have 3-10 different melee sets (and therefore macro pages) for BRD to increase my white damage by .05%. I guess if you use lua you can swap between varying degrees of accuracy needed in order to optimize your attack a little bit, but...

Hard disagree on "they aren't taking damage because they have proper buffs, tanks, and healers doing their job". In Omen, Vagary, Odyssey segs, Odyssey NMs (most of them), Sortie, Dynamis, HTBF...Basically every bit of content I can think of, you will take incidental damage even if the tank is tanking, you have proper buffs, and you're topped off. You can absolutely die from a bad TP move or aoe if you don't prioritize appropriate meva/defense/DT, even from full health. There's also debuffs which can be resisted if you're properly gearing. In any real content you will take damage and you will get debuffed, and wearing proper gear to mitigate those things is the correct answer.

I guess if you're fighting Bubbling Bernie or some ilvl 119 unity NM you can wear whatever gear you want with no regard for DT, but that's not exactly the scenario I set up my equipsets for, personally
