Wow... This is not a drill. Just as I was letting my accounts expire for a while.
March 2019 was the last time they had Emp items, not that long ago.

Any bets this was a mistake and they'll replace it with something much more useless so we can make sure we feel our requisite maximum disappointment for the month?

Should be pretty clear this is intended, as it came right after they showed and announced empyearn for August update. They normally always include upgrade mats or something similar in Login Points for events/campaigns prior to/during to encourage newer players to complete pieces. Seeing as how they've made so much effort to make this available to new players, they want you completing the 109/119 sets beforehand, so they are making it easier by just giving you empy items. They aren't doing this for people to complete weapons faster, though that's obviously what most people are excited about. Completely intended.

I also think this is intended and I also think it's related to 109 empy armor. They didn't give those items for past years, because they know it will be used mostly for easy empy weapons upgrade, but they make exception now to let people catch up with empy armor.

I'd also add on that you only need the odyssey wins once, and farming it for max has an incredibly low barrier to entry. It manages to both be extremely restrictive to get the clears, while being incredibly easy and repetitive to max pieces.
Which can be said about tons of content in the games history. Beating Delve once let you clear it much easier due to the weapons, etc. It's ok to say this game has some challenging fights occasionally, doesn't make you look uncool lol. Hell getting other competent people to clear those is probably the hardest end game.
Comparing the previewed pieces to what we have, it looks like the +1 > +2 armor pieces all gain +20 Defense/HP/MP (when the piece has MP), +40 EVA/MEVA by default. There doesn't seem to be a pattern for the attribute increases other than seeming to range from 5-10 above the +1.

Why would they? SE want DDs to be squishier than tanks in exchange for being able to output damage. And all ML'd jobs already have access to Super Jump these days anyway, so a smart player shouldn't be getting destroyed in most circumstances.
Also, DRG is a flavor of the year DD currently due to SB spam in Odyssey. Pretty sure enough people are playing it. Offline

Giving everyone DTII just means tanks need more of it and eventually youll hit that cap too and we can just have Autos and/or tp moves that regularly ignore all DT cause thatll be great im sure

But, there's a big difference between being able to go from 18man to 16man in delve, and having to chip off 5% to get nearly full credit. The RP system is pure handout. |
