Apex diremites in psojxa!
Not to mention apex hippos and clusters in riverne and apex antlions and corse in attowha!
Bring us back to Pso'jxa. It's shameful we have to run through such a cool zone to get to the Promys, but don't get to enjoy it.

I'm not a fan of time-restricted zones for EXP grinds (I thought Incursion giving enhanced CP in the early days was a bad idea). But there are many beautiful zones we never visit anymore that I would have no problem exploring again, if only they made Apex-level monsters roam about. Personally, I like all of the CoP zones and wouldn't mind returning to them for some EP farms.

I think adding apex mobs to just about every classic zone would be cool. Give people a way to space each other out so you don't have to go to a place and be like "damn, all camps full" like apex bats and keep classic zones from being wastelands.

The flip side of this is something Asurans should be all too familiar with; a time-restricted zone is not going to be accomodating to JP/MP bots because their buyers will be unable to leech there. If it's also instanced, you never have to worry about competition of any kind at your camps.
Doesn't really matter anywhere else, though.

Getting people to spread out by putting the camps in many places is a good way to do it. It also gives you room to make every mob into apex mobs. (apex quadavs, apex orcs, apex goblins, apex yagudo etcetcetc)
But also instanced exemplar points is good too. It cannot be fought over and it's harder to bot, since you have to keep entering it's much harder to try to sell to someone afk over night.
Also also, making one zone with a shitload of unlinkable unaggroable mobs would be great too. Doesn't fit the lore but just an empty room with a thousand apex mobs (would probably make the server crash) but would be very convenient. ((and make the entrance requirements something like full completion of all missions so only "real parties" can go there))

Instanced is a horrible idea, if only for just the Asura population. Because of how SE does "instanced" content, waiting an hour just to enter would suck.

waiting an hour only to find yourself in a content with extremely bad lag and insane rate of packet loss.
Thanks for the offer but I'll have to pass.
Now if we were talking about a scenario where they can finally resolve once and for all this packet-loss issue that has been affecting to various extents all their instanced content, I might have a different opinion in that case.

Yes, there is a difference in the two. Referring to the selling of exemplar points by the bots that remain in adoulin gates 24/7/365.
As those are the bots square pretends to care about. With their hilariously *** "7-11 exp penalty"

Ohright, I kind of forgot those zones all have time restrictions on them still... Not overly sure why since you can typically re-enter without issue or a very very minimum wait. I was mainly picking those zones since they deal with REMAs and well.. go have fun trying to farm alex on apex mobs! Although, trying to proc an apex mob might be a bit easier now...

Abyssea was appropriate as an EXP farm zone, despite it having a time restriction, because you could extend time indefinitely, so it wasn't really an issue. I actually enjoyed those 18-man Abyssea EXP groups. You had multiple teams of players killing separate mobs and it was easy to fill and replace members. Win-win for everybody.

your exp was different than mine. mine was like 3 people actually killing stuff, one person getting chests and everyone else suddenly had to afk without a warning after 30 minutes of killing.

lol just imagine how much money they gonna make after this update... all the 6 boxers forking over another 4 bucks per acct. I think I'll have to cancel some mules I don't use finally, they aint bringing back the empy items via login campaign lol. SE rubbing their hands together like scrooge mcduck.
Even more important, they adding new lockstyle slots! I was running out too

There is no coincidence with this occurring just prior to the end of the fiscal year. Once they mentioned the deadline, it was obvious this was going to be a paid addition...

^^ This guy knows real endgame. Speaking of that, 'bout time for me to take some pretty pictures of my recent lockstyle creations... And maybe get some inspiration from others for a couple sets I'm not totally satisfied with.
I've had a lot of cancelled mules for a good long while, but perhaps this does mean I'll remove even more of them - at least 2, which will help with the wardrobe fees.
And I guess with all this extra space I can finally get the 4/5 Agwu's pieces I never picked up due to cost/benefit analysis between utility and inventory space lol. Only have RUN from the applicable jobs, so yay lunge gear! (and moar lockstyle options, of course)
And hmmmmmm... just this past month, I've had two MYSTERY macro errors where a page (just 1 ctrl/alt page of 20 macros) of macros for a job simply got wiped out and showed up blank. One time on each of my two accounts. Never had issues like that before. Perhaps related to SE tinkering with the extra macro space in preparation for this update - anyone else run into similar weird issues?

The macro slots going white completely random happened to me as well like 2 months ago.
Good thing I had a backup stored on the server...

Well it's the only logical thing to do. If FFXIAH-database is correct there are almost 100 000 active accounts, I'm not sure how accurate that is, but the community isn't growing my the millions like FF14 is.
I wonder how long they'll let retail keep going? I hope at least another 5 years, I really like the game.

Active development budget was approved for another year or two? I figure we'll get at least 2-3 years of real "life support" where not much is done on the development side at all at the *** end of retail's life. Maybe we'll see rotations or campaigns and Ambuscade foes. There's probably enough profit generated for it to coast for a while until we see a real drop off in players.
Yoshi P's comments about wanting to keep it around are reassuring, at least.

I think I can fit all of my useful gear into 2 more wardrobes.
One thing they're not dealing with here is that the more items you have, the longer it takes to finish loading your inventory after you zone. The load times between my main (~800 items) and my mules (~400 items) are already very different.

Yeah, I was trying to be optimistic and give them the benefit of the doubt but additional monthly cash grabs like this make having conversations about sub fees awkward. Hard to explain to people why the 20 year old game is more expensive than the new one.

I don't think I've seen this mentioned yet, but what will all the extra wardrobe slots do for the economy? All of those sidegrade items you didn't have room for and wouldn't fit on Porter, suddenly you do. Might make crafting worthwhile.

The peculiar part is that in an Era where the majority of MMOs have no monthly fee at all and already offer a much better service, we're being the ones who pay the highest monthly amount of them all and in return we get a continuous stream of "can't do this" or "can't do that" because they don't have enough human resources.
It's... ironic.
It's almost like they're tryin to let people drop the game on purpose so they can finally shut the service down and pretend they have nothing to be blamed for.
With that said, 99% of us will of course buy the new wardrobes, I know I will, so...
