New Odyssey gear is going to be added at some point, they mentioned it at the start of Odyssey way back. Probably go back and add a bunch of random drops to every NM and make those Beastmen nodes on the upper floors mean something. Also would give some use to popping NMs on higher floors since up to this point the only thing you get is a challenge and mats. Maybe by the time you finish leveling MM in C, the Beastmen bosses are much easier solo and players can warp right to the top and try them for whatever new shinies they release
Asura.Sechs said: » So appearently Sheol C won't be the end of Odyssey. Wonder what they have in store for us after that? I have no clue. Any ideas? Well that it wouldnt finish i guess it was expected. Small hint but if they are worried to not repeat beastmen apparitions, then we could have room for more 5 sheols to house all beastman races available. Plus, till now, two aspect are still obscures, almost hinting that they arent finished yet. One is the MM ranking, which rewards seems almost like in oposition to MMORPG concept, that is gathering players together. Also, its entirely more efficient to grind MM as a party but the rewards provides almost to no benefit as your party is complete with real players. All this indicate that MM system isnt complete as all its benefit arent proportional to the challenge. Do notice, though, MM is almost the only aspect of “progression” in Odyssey (the other are chest cost and NM mat cost). So, its surely expected they gonna play a more important role in the upcoming Odyssey, so much that probably gonna incentivate players to revisit old Odyssey to gather the missing MMs. Second is the entire NM system, what, aside the MM ranking already mentioned, provides almost nothing over beating regular fodders (just reduction to mat cost and laughable JP). Most content in FFXI associate “progression” with beating NM. This aspect is almost negligible in terms of Odyssey, again almost hinting its incomplete. In conclusion, so far, Odyssey just focused on Unity augmenting and the farming aspect of this content, maybe to provide some ways to earn gil after spark/accolade nerf. And its expected the Sheol C gonna be the same, more focused on gathering material for the last pieces augment and potential income for solo players. But i guess Sheol D+ gonna finally wrap all up and create the sense of “progression” that have been missing so far (IMO), possibly involving MM ranking and NM system. Talking about a,buacade, they didnt mention anything new over quadavs. I guess this is a complete repeat. The old *** spamming wrath of budda or something.

I like the phoenix shield the most but the KB one has amazing artwork on it too. If I had to pick (and I couldn't pick my own) I would pick the phoenix. Looks the most pleasing on mage jobs, given the shield type.

Of course It was community driven, had to end up useless and silly, there was no other possible outcome, lol
Cornelia was picked the last event, and if memory serves, some other trust got voted in by the community, but SE devs said they ignored that and picked Cornelia anyway.
There were plenty of good ideas, they intentionally picked a bad “fun” one. Which, honestly, is probably for the best so we won’t miss it when it’s gone.
Wow those shield entries are real good. Mines so bad it's not even in the picture

Also, Novice Network for FFXI seems like a good idea, unless they implement it like LS or Unity chat and it runs out of space constantly.

I laugh when I hear this because that is exactly what they'll do And just imagine the RMT spam of their lv1 chars in that network.. Lakshmi.Buukki said: » I forgot to add Futae in the Trust Behavior >.> Oh well I think the MP battery Samurai would've had a ton more use, considering that trust healers tend to use their most expensive cure the moment another party member gets sneezed on. I'm actually very curious how much damage he'll do with nukes. Did they give him the magic stats of an actual nuking set with the melee stats of a TP set? Did he at least farm Gokotai if he's trying to nuke and melee in the same set? Will he actually try to stand behind the monster with Innin up, or is it the player's job to position him properly? |
