I believe Bush pardoned someone mid investigation as well. Pretty sure Gerald Ford proved that it was within the presidents executive power to pardon unproven crimes.

No one that is actively involved in the conversation has said that they wanted to impeach Trump.
Actually some of us have expressed concerns about impeaching him because we aren't keen on the VP becoming the president. I've also stated multiple times that I believe he was the better option between him and Clinton. I think we should redo the election cause Russia interfered too much. Maybe in July have another election.

Time to throw these people in the looney bin. Haven't seen the news but do consider that he was not under investigation at the time of the conversation. Comey did state two times that the campaign was under investigation and that the candidate is the head of the campaign. So it is quite possible the investigation has evolved since Comey's conversation with Trump. That's probably why he kept bringing up "the duty to correct" as a reason he didn't want to make a public statement about Trump not being under investigation at the time. |
