how are ppl dealing with the thinker we had constant debuffs on it and he still used pain sync for 2k-20k dmg
its shadowable? like Dd/nin?
No, Migawari eats the damage from pain sync.
Anyone seen any of the body's drop yet ?
So here's a theory for card drops:
What if the Omens you get tally up and every say 10k you get a card for the job you're on? Would follow through with different amounts per run, there being a running tally, etc. Also gives more purpose to clearing all the mobs and such. Edit: My buddy said the Devs outright stated this bit, so I guess I just haven't been keeping up, lol. Also, got the Dingir ring off of Gin. Zero Hour is AOE damage (light, but we had Vex and RUN roll with a RUN up so lol), inhibit TP (wasn't very significant, so maybe only to like 2k max, or just slower gain) and a few seconds later drops hate. Sure wish there was a bard around for late night (midnight-1amish eastern US time) for an Omen static. Had a melee SMN pug with me tonight, they weren't very useful... ghorn bard right here :P

Just tried solo. AAEV, Ulmia, Joachim, Koru-moru, Apururu
Area 1: Tigers, flys Magic burst 3 times Do 2000 dmg in one auto attack. I forget the 3rd if there was one here. Area 2: Beetles and leeches Heal 500 of your own hp. Do one skillchain Kill one enemy. (Oddly enough the game didn't clear "Do 1 skillchain" after Expiacion > Chain affinity + Sinker drill > Darkness and CDC > CDC > Light so maybe...needs to be a non-self skillchain...? I have no idea) Area 3: Glassy Thinker Stygian Vapor: AoE or Conal plague Negative Whirl: Single target or Conal dmg? Shadow Spread: AoE Sleep, curse Trinary Tap: Absorb 3 status effects from target. Pain Sync: AoE dmg based off something. Very long reading time. Stuns failed. Notes on Pain Sync: First one he did wiped Ulmia and Koru-moru. Mob did total of 7 times. Pain Syncs after the first did not do enough dmg to 1 shot. It wasn't until, of course, the last one that he 1 shotted the remaining trusts apururu, AAEV, Joachim, and myself all of who were at or near 100% hp. All Trusts aside from AAEV were generally behind the mob so not sure why some died horribly on the first but survived 5 until the last Pain Sync. Emnity? They also seemed to do similar dmg across the board either taking us all down to 3/4s hp or 1/2 hp. Glassy Thinker: Way too much hp to handle with the time I had left. 309488 dmg is about how much I did which took it down maybe 3~5%? At start acc was ok but I found myself increasing as the fight went on (or maybe as I lost Koru doing distract?). Acc 1155 > 1214 > 1310 was my progression not counting any buffs. Still seemed to be lacking at 1310. Total hit rate was 80.7%. AAEV did a good job of tanking. She often puts high priority on curing slept pt members vs August who just couldn't give a rats @ss if hes the only one awake. Apururu couldn't keep up with cures as curse was killing everyone's mp. Near the end I was heavily back-up healing to just survive. I was out of mp with Tizona and my 80% hit rate when Glassy Thinker decided to end me with the 7th Pain Sync. Results: Sadly I only managed to finish "kill one enemy" mission. Omen messages obtained from defeating mobs said: There are 976 omens from your foes! There are 236 omens from your foes! <- Last mob of Area 2 before Thinker outlasted and killed me. I got 1 blu card. Maybe once you get to 1000 omens you get a card (and omens reset? 976 to 236) or I got a card for that one mission I finished? I never received a message "You obtain Paragon blue mage card" during the fight. I assumed I got nothing but check inventory and there was 1 blu card. Before this solo run I did a run with 6 party members with me on geo and every card I got (all 2 of them) was obtained with a message during the fight. And that run ended with maybe 1 successful mission, craver mini boss killed, and Fu killed as well. Theres my two cents. Good night! Edit: On second thought Shadow spread was used a few seconds before reading Pain Sync so trusts most likely died from reduced hp count due to curse. Final Pain sync really did 1 shot from full uncursed hp at least for me. SCH and BLU CA SC are not counting as SCs for vagary and other things was accepted as bug on OF. Probably your problem too.
Omens don't reset between runs, otherwise why would we have gotten cards immediately upon entering? The LSmate I was with and I had cleared both of the first floors on our previous run, so assuming it checks the next time you enter, that has to be what's going on.
Otherwise, randomly handing out cards to people seems a bit silly. Tychefm, What did you do before you entered that mystery chest room. Did you clear all the objectives set?

But seriously i hope that they change the wait time of this. its really frustrating. Try last night with friend, setup was PLD WHM BLU DRG RDM SAM.
Clearing both wave, but didn't clear any objective, meet the first mini boss (got one red mage card ... youhou ><) and even with 15 min, we didn't kill it, seriously how many HP he have. We gonna retry with a different setup, maybe a Pld SCH SMN SMN BST to check pet strat, or maybe we should include a GEO, dunno. Offline

I dont mind the wait time, you all need to learn to wait and savor the damn content, you all pampered on getting ***fast, I hope a lesson is learn and hope to see a +3 piece of armor like in 6-7 months (and finally duck you all damn mercs you wont be able to sell this stuff!)

everyone that is complaining about the 20 hour cooldown must have forgot how long we used to have to wait for cooldown on content
right now it seems fine plus there is still a lot to figure out it seems maybe u will get rewarded more has anyone actually completed all the mini objectives when doing a run? Sylph.Systematicchaos

Not that I like the 20 hour lockout, but I still remember a line 100+ people long for Fiat Lux. I'd rather not have that either.

Sure is a whole lot of undeserved nostalgia in here. "Back in my day we had to walk uphill both ways for Dynamis and we were happy about it!"
Nobody gives a ***what you were happy about doing when you were 12 and didn't have a job. 20 hour lockout with 6 people maximum is hell for coordinating if you actually have friends. So stoked for you guys who like to do one thing a day with your trusts in the most inconvenient way possible. Please savor your +3 enough for the rest of us in 2018. I'm fine with putting some sort of limit to the amount of times you can spam a content. I'm tired of stuff like Ambuscade that you can be done with in a couple hours and forget the content for the rest of the month.
I'm sure it's the same for devs. They're having a hard time releasing new content, if each time they do people are done with it in a few days it means they're gonna go back afk in town comaplaining about having nothing to do, and putting more pressure on devs to release more content which clearly are unable to provide. At the same time though I have to agree that for several reasons the 20hr cooldown feels a bit too harsh, not by itself, but for how everything else is balanced. 1) Just 6 people inside 2) It's hard to coordinate with others or do PUGs 3) Drops (cards) are scarce, they're practically bound to the job you enter as, and a plethora of them is required to get the +3 version. If these points were different then maybe the 20hrs cooldown wouldn't be as big of a deal as it is today. I'm sure they're just assessing things and that they'll balance things out next month, they've already pretty much said so in a way or another. Meanwhile this is gonna buy them at least one month of people doing content I guess lol Man, they're so cheap lately :( Ok just came out of a fight with Kei.
I feel like he requires an almost constant damage source to stop the shield. His regen with his shield is ridiculously strong, and 1 SCH honestly wasn't cutting it. We got it under 75% once... Did someone say they where doing Kei with Rangers > BLMs. Little more detail would be helpful. We did Kei with Geo SCH SCH BLM BLM Run and won but both SCH had to TR and we only had 1 min left with a tank death and reset but we won.

Sooooooo yeah there needs to be some serious look into getting cards. i don't see the problem here u say it took 4 runs those take 7 cards so u got 7 cards in 4 runs and each run is really only like 30mins so in 2hours total u got a piece alrdy that doesn't seem as bad as people are making it sound
If she hadn't gotten a free entry item, it would've taken 80 hours of lockout to obtain one +2 piece.
