Forgetting the language barrier in many places, here's the problem for conservative thinkers that talk about leaving the country: they don't really have places to go that are less liberal AND have lower tax rates without going to Islamic nations or developing/war-torn countries.
Then I'll start my own country with lower tax rates and no liberals !
And blackjack and hookers?

Yea basically like Texas. I could live there. It practically is another country anyways.

I've always been sort of confused about Texas and hookers. Every old Western you see glorifying Texas' cowboy image has hookers, gambling, and drinkin', yet there's this façade of uber-conservative about Texas.
C'mon, clichés. Can't you agree on something? I need to generalize entire, vastly populated states in one or two easily-digestible stereotypes!

I don't care about Cowboys but drinking and hookers that is a match made in heaven !

It is sad to hear that hipsters are trying to take over parts of Texas...Austin mostly.

It's my understanding that a few of the bigger cities in Texas are bastions of liberalness, actually, in an otherwise very conservative state.
I know there's a big metal scene in Texas and while metal isn't inherently liberal or conservative -- I've seen deep political differences within individual bands, really -- it does mean there are a ton of musicians in the area and artists do tend to be a little more right-leaning, especially "working" musicians.

If I wanted to hang out with liberals there is always Starbucks. But I'll just have the coffee and leave. I don't need to be lectured by some guy with a mustache and a free Tibet T shirt !

Austin always had a more liberal bent because of UT (and now, a burgeoning startup scene).
First I've heard of any others going that route, though.

Yea colleges used to be about education now it's about professors lecturing kids about "America sucks, embrace socialism"
All while being a tenured professor with almost no chance of being fired.

That's why you don't hear of too many conservatives that claim "I'm going to leave the country if XXX is voted in as president."
Although a large influx of rich Americans did revoke their citizenship when Obama was elected. Most of them went to Germany, from what I heard.

San Antonio is one of the few cities where conservatives and liberals (aka Republicans and democrats) actually work together for the greater good of the city >.>
Austin is a shithole regardless of where you look. And it was a shithole well before the liberals took over, they just made it a larger shithole.

All cities attract scumbags though. It is easier to be evil in a city of millions then in a small town.

I don't want any of that. Starbucks coffee is like an American luxury car. It's what people who don't know any better think quality is.
(Not a knock on American cars in general, just American luxury vehicles.)

Starbucks isn't the best coffee in the world no. I've tried better but it is much easier to find. Then your organic hippie coffee.

You can literally find better right on the shelf of your grocery store. Or at McDonald's for about a quarter of the price on-the-go.

Contrary to my popular belief if you don't discuss politics with them liberals aren't that bad. I mean hell they might even drink beer for all I know !
By fonewear 2016-08-16 08:41:11
Speaking of which remember when Starbucks wanted to have a conversation about racism. That was funny beyond belief. While you are in line contemplating the "crazy ordering language". Random guy behind you "How should America fight racism ?"
Me Dude, I'm trying to figure how if I want a Venti or whatever the *** it's called !

How should America fight racism ? That's easy.
By not glorifying it.
Not to say to ignore it, but don't celebrate it or profit from it.

Coffee, tea, hot chocolate; I enjoy them all!

But do real Seattleites still talk highly of Kurt Cobain whilst talking smack about Layne Staley despite endless similarities?

Law-abiding citizens are much much much less likely to discharge a weapon at anyone, much less anyone of differential race than they are, then anyone else.
There are more accidental killings by police officers than there are accidental killings by law-abiding citizens.
