I'm trying to conduct a list of item's rare, which where avaliable a long time ago, which are now more rare, which people see NOONE wearing. I don't mean stuff like Tarutaru's platemail etc.
I mean stuff like Sols cap, Mandy beret (Is that still active?)
Guide Beret etc. Even the Miniture airship Model.

Most importantly, Do you have these items?

I have no idea, but by that event, other rare items would be Moon Ball, and Rabbit stick.

I remember there was a second-anniversary firework, which would explode and show a big blue roman numeral "2" (the NA/EU release was a year after the JP release.)

Sadly, I don't recall the name of it anymore, and although I thought it was silly and useless at the time, on retrospect it would have been cool to have saved some of them. :)

That sounds actually pretty cool. And i bet most of them are in the dust, although who knows if you can pull it from the gobby.

On another note. literally making a set list now of rare items.

I beleive someone pulled it from NNI, so there is at least one.
But Minature Airship

Will be rare, STILL OBTAINABLE, but will take a least a year to get it, a year of permanently active subscription at that.

Ye, Also there was that contest a few years back, it was a Balissta contest, the winner got a limited edition PC?
winners got Laurel crown
I don't believe the model is rare now though, i believe it can be obtained from abyssea? (correct me if i'm wrong). But there was only ever 20 of these crowns.

Stars cap, as well as a the PC.

Maybe if someone deactivated around that time, it's entirely possible, but it may of defaulted ages ago to something else, where too is a mystery upon itself.

As of grounds of valor, Magicked Bones in Inner Horutoto Ruins no longer exist. So what this means is, the only existing Ceremonial Daggers are those floating around, there is no new supply. Ever.
