I've been saving up/clearing story missions that have been sitting idle. 4 pulls to only get 2x five star items is so obnoxious.
I just finished up FF10 event and was so hype to start getting mythril saved up... Man I hope I win that 100 Mythril... (even tho its only worth 60 bucks..LOL)
Me too.. I was saving it for Beatrix in one of these banners that is suppose to come up. Oh well, I kinda wish there was a way you could spend mythril on any previous banner you want instead of having to wait for it to appear again.

Yeah, these games probably make so much money. I know someone who I played XI with that spent over 1.5k already and I see he already got the Cloud sword. Can only imagine how much they will make during that SSB fest and things like it.

I've been toying around with my fusion sword, and holy crap.... I've used advantaliate for every ultimate fight so far, and now I'm just thinking using even a single turn on retaliate is a waste when I can just 4x cut with an insane crit rate instead and use my other characters to do something else besides attack cloud every turn. It almost seems to be the power creep equivalent of 119 gear in XI.
Seems so for now, but very very soon SSBs will come back on top (starting with Shadow). The only BSSB that retains its OPness is Paladin Cecil's, mostly because Holy damage (ironically he doesn't even use his Burst Mode abilities, but instead spams Saint's Cross).
BSSBs are still nice though, not downplaying them at all, especially if you have low hones or low stocks on abilities since they basically equate to free hones. Shadow's SSB is just *** ridiculous though (28-29x multiplier total, or 2800-2900 potency).
There's a really nice writeup about it over here. There's very little power creep going into the next 6-8 months or so, most of our strength will come from new ability and SB synergies.

Yeah, I'll reserve full judgment on the BSSB until I actually try it on a hard fight. As for your other point, the mere damage isn't enough to steer me towards Shadow, but add the fact that it's instant with the physical attack avoidance to boot seems a little insane. I'll consider that one when it rolls around.

Yay Magic comb from a 3 pull!
350 mythril got me 5 of Tifas, 3 of Zacks, 1 of Cids,and 2 precious watches. I seem to have zero luck with Cloud. Now to save up for Ramza.
200 Mythril yesterday got me 1 Platinum Fist and 1 Precious Watch. 50 pull this morning and I am back to 0, but I DID get the fricking sword for Cloud, at least. really helped speed along dropping Yojimbo thereafter.

the weaponskill itself is pretty lackluster compared to what I see from my Blade Beams, but what it does AFTERWARDS is simply absurd. pairing it with Dr. Mog's Teachings is extra lulz.

Usually save Dr. Mog's Teachings for AoE haste/attack up soul breaks, the BSSB's benefit more from the Ace Striker class --- with that, I can almost always keep up the aftermath with Cloud and Bartz.

I couldn't beat the Yuna event ultimate but I doubt having a BSSB would help in any way there, could try it with this still.
Why is Quina so low? She is a very good phy support if you have her SB I'd say. I know it lacks haste but Prot/Shell for certain fights is nice to let you use things on others.

Plus if you are waiting to pull a good support relic, you want one way better than hers.
Also, Fenrir Overdrive or Flames of War as RW?
for those rankings I assume that they are also paired with their appropriate soul break weaponry?

well, since I have been getting bent over a barrel by the RNG for a LONG time on Weapon draws, I have none of those. as it is, with the BSSB, I can use it, it wears off, and a single Lifesiphon puts it ready to use again with my limited time with it today.
No. Basically the form is "Fill out how you think this character ranks specifically for you, with the relics you have." So like I ranked Cloud as like......a 2 because I didn't have any useful relic for him when the voting was done. I ranked Gilga low because I don't Retal. I ranked Lenna 5 because I have Flames of War. etc.
Hence why you see Sazh, Red XIII, and a few other characters that would basically be ***without their game breaking unique SBs.
