Beat all the quests, that was a lot of fun to solo as Yuffie like the original game. Surprised they didn't make you do the final fight with just Yuffie. Had Hymn of the Faith from Yuna and it helped a ton and after unlocking her level cap I set Empathetic Soul, don't see how you can do it w/o some type of cure SB. Tempo Flurry and Steal Power were abilities I used.

Any idea when we are getting the Abyss of Souls area? (I assume we're getting since its in the under construction area on our home menu)

Looking in reddit, the first chamber, Abyss Ultima had a post explaning that 3 months ago. Considering japanese is around 6 months ahead of global, I guess it will just be avaiable in april.

Actually, a bit earlier as Abyss was implanted right after FFRK anyversary so, maybe march/april.

I never farmed Wind and Power dailies because I didn't need them pre-Lifesiphon and now I'm paying. Haven't even touched the new event.

I was following a guy with HotE that showed in my RW list once.

Today I just noticed that he change to it to a naked Zack with default SB.

Seriously, sometimes I wonder about some people...

I've never even seen Hand of the Emperor pop up on my RW thing. How is that list decided? Is it local?

I'm sure he is doing that so he can get people to delete him so he can have a friend use his RW.

I have had I think 5x 11 pulls in a row like that now.

Any worthwhile setup except reta meta requires very good relics and/or huge amounts of high rank orbs to hone and I'm not blowing any $ into the game so I end up very limited (which is normal). I can't survive high level bosses spamming big damage aoe moves for long. The only strategy left to do for me is reta+advance and zerg before my SG or SS2 (and some other mitigation depending on the boss) wears off. If I can beat everything in many events with the same strategy, there is a problem. Once in awhile I hit a road block such as Rubicund where I can't reta meta and I have no chance but to skip it.

I like the game which is why I am still playing but I want to have unique experiences in different realms as much as possible. If I dont feel the need to use a different strategy (which only happens rarely) I will always reta meta because it works almost all the time and is very cheap and requires hardly any effort to pull off.

Thats exactly the point. Doing that isnt necessary at all. Even though Im following him, after a day, if he receivss a new Follower and hes capped in his friend list, automatically the first in will be the first out. Its pointless forcing people to leave by themselves. It just bothers the one following and dont do any good for him.

Its kinda of rare as I think there were just 2 chances to get it só far (being one the SB fest).

The list is done by 7 following persons and 3 random pick ups. Its a bit tricky as if you want to see the pick ups, you need to go till the end of your list, what most of time isnt necessary.

I uh....didn't actually think we were getting orb exchange the day after I complained about not having it.

I always scroll to the end but the 3 randoms are never anything new, theres so many SBs I've just straight up never seen in RWs.

Did you notice the spot on the world map where the Abyss of Souls goes, it used to say "Under Construction". Now it says "Coming Soon".

I didn't that's pretty cool. I leveled Lifesiphon to rank 4, I was 1 5* Ice Orb from making Full Break R2 but it feels like a waste to use any of my 4* orbs I'd use on Lifesiphon.

Hm no extra battles for yuffie event today or is that tomorrow? I still haven't decided what I wanna upgrade with this new system.

For those of you that use physical teams, want to help me out?

I'm using something like this:

Healer Protga/Curaja
Lightning (SSB) Lifesiphon/Spellblade
Squall (SSB) Lifesiphon/Spellblade
Nuker Ruinga/-ja spell
Wakka (Status Reels) Armor BD/Full Break

Now one big problem I'm having is lack of boost on this team, I only have one boost SB which is the shittiest one, Holiday Mittens, at 15% Boost AoE. Is it worth getting rid of the -ja spell to put in Boost? Bladeblitz instead of Ruinga maybe? I kind of doubt Bladeblitz would put out enough damage. If I dropped the nuker would I want another pure support to use Dances or Songs, or a weaker physical melee to boost.?

the best choice certainly would be Planet Protector though it wont allow a wall RW. Maybe its a matter of checking how mobs offensive attack and try to do with magic/Power breakdown + Full break, and try bringing PP. if it doesnt works, probably boost seems the better option.

Personally I like to go with Thiefs so my buff is Steal Power.

I wish I had the PP option but I almost never use any RWs besides SG, SSII, Boon, or Lunatic High. Not having a natural Wall or Hastega really messes with your RW options. I like Thiefs too but they don't really compare with level 80 SSB characters, especially without a unique SB thief character.

Anyone know what the Abyss of Souls is going to be?

I think its the next step of challenge. Currently we have up to lv 140 mob, the Ultimate bosses. Probably those abyss mobs should be even higher, but the worst part seems their AI, thats seems way more complex than our current Ultimate bosses.

I think its a 1 month challenge that rewards materials to create the 6* abilities.

Abyss dungeons = high level dungeons that raise certain characters to 6* in a skill (1st Abyss dungeon is Black Magic) and gives you the opportunity to create a 6* ability for that skill (Ultima)

Sounds like I will have to skip it all together... I can't even create a 5* ability yet. I imagine creating 6* abilities would be nigh impossible unless they give away some orbs.

There is no real need to create 6* ability. They are only for bragging purpose, like it was for 5* back to half 2015.

Their damage output isnt that good, but the worst part is that even the big whales on reddit (the ones that always pull at least 33 times in every banner and do countless mythril/gem refreshes during orbfests) cant hone it yet, because its not possible atm, the mats arent farmable and the ones released can cover a hone.

5* tend to be more accessible from now on with orb exchange and some japanese dungeons have trashes dropping 4*. Plus, I saw pictures of jp orbfest dropping up to dozen 4* orbs in a run.

But the only 5* ability its game changing atm is the fullbreak (or break Fever when its released). Having a couple of breakdowns and Lifesiphon is all you need for 4* imo.

Ok, fair enough. I have all 4* break at rank 2 and that is usually enough for single boss battles. I Got the Lifesiphon from the event as well. It is very nice for my Tyro coupled with mastered SG and his last RM. At least that is the best use I could think of. It lets me use another SG shortly after the free one from his RM.

How many Lifesiphon hits fill the SB gauge independently? Mine is only rank 1 and 2 hits aren't enough so I would like to know the sweet spot before spending too many 4*s.

One SB bar is Full with 500 points. Normal hits for 50, 1-2* abilities fills 55, 3-4* fills 60 points, 5* abilities fills for 65. Lifesiphon fills for 150. Wrath fills for 180 (but deals no dmg).

You add 50% if hitting a weakness (like nukes and spellblade) or using Ace Strike.

2 lifesiphons with Ace Strike (450) + taking a hit fill an entire bar. 2 wraths with Ace Strike fill more than a bar (540). Without Ace Strike, needs 3 lifesiphons + taking 1 hit to fill a bar, or 3 Wrath.

Also, I just would focus in honing magic and mental breakdown as the Power and armor breakdown are inferior to Steal Power and Steal defense as the former lasts for 15 secs and the steals last for 20s, aside buffs.

Year, just Thieves can use Steal abilities but there is no reason to not to bring one: Bartz is one of the most wonderful chars in game and have a good SB (Lupine Barrage) and excelent SSB.

No wonder, my main goal next SSSB fest is definitively Excalibur. With that Bartz will be a regular to me.
