did a 3-relic pull and got another Kotetsu for Edge...WHYYYyYYYYYYYYY
Pull on Rydia 1 or wait for FFT to try to get my Platinum Sword again?
Bismarck.Zuidar said: » did a 3-relic pull and got another Kotetsu for Edge...WHYYYyYYYYYYYYY just come join me in 3*/4* only land. I've gotten a total of two 5* items out of something like the last six 11 pulls. Offline
I've got dark gloves out of my last 7 11 pulls. Don't like this life.
Pulled Edwards harp on a single pull. Wish that excited me. Only fight that actually forces mage meta has been cleared. Dreams of Excalibur forever. ;-;
On another note, you always read about how powerful certain ability combo's are on the sub-reddit. But actually seeing them in action on a U+ is a different story entirely. Fang just casually pumping out 50k damage over three rounds without a SB, no big deal. I now understand why people just spend hundreds of mythril on resets during orbfest. Did an 11 draw hoping to get dark gloves or harp got something more That makes 3 different Excaliburs I now own.

Didn't get Cecil's BSSB but this is probably my best pull so far! Same setup for U+ except Wall instead of Shout (used Souleater) and only Expert cause didn't bring Slow and lost a medal for damage taken. Went back and mastered effortlessly with my A Team. Pulled Soboro on the Ice Soul Break Lucky Draw (JP). Awww yeah XI synergy.
Need some advice. Should I hone Dragoon Jump or Dark Zone next?
Global actually being recognized for once. We're getting:
-Orbfest -20 Mithril via login bonuses -Dissidia collab event And hone Dragoon Jump. Dragoons are amongst the top tier of DPS atm and it is very cheap to hone. The Rydia1 banner will not put out Cecil's BSSB. Nothing but damn Dark Gloves!!!! FML
Did an 11 draw on FF8 1st banner was hoping for synergy got Rinoa's BSSB and Irvine's gun. Super nice since I use Lightning and I will probably use Mage Team for Ultimate.

Irvine and Laguna's guns are pretty good, party dress is future proofing. Quistis's whip and selphie's nuking nunchucks are p bad though
I wasn't gonna try the same banner again, after getting 4 Cecil swords in the same pull. But gave it a whirl anyway for Excalibur. I prevailed!
For anyone doing Mage-meta. I'm not a FFRK math wiz but I compared SoS+Cannister Shot vs SoS+Focus. I ran this calculator with 528MAG against U+ Seph. I even tried adjusting her MAG but I got the same results. Valefor/Alexander were the abilities.

SoS+CS SoS+Focus You did something wrong, and from the looks of it, is that you calculated canister shot to be -50% instead of 25%. U+ all have resistances to breaks(-50% resistance). Casting Valefor(4.8 x2)at 528 magic with Lulu(focus) against Seph U+, brings the magic to 634 against 2064 resistance. That means each cast of Valfor(not hit, total dmg) is going to be 8878. Casting valefor at 528 magic with canister shot on seph U+ brings his resistance to 1548. The damage from Valefor will be 7590 per cast(not hit, total dmg). TL;DR : LuLu Focus > Canister til you are hitting magic soft cap(700s, think 760 gl and 1056 in JP. Edit: I think you're right. I just redid them on the calculator and focus came up ahead even with Devotion or Eidolon Bond.

Look at enemy elemental affinity as a sliding scale between -50 and 100. These numbers aren't exactly how it is represented in-game, but it gives you an idea. -50 = absorb 0 = null 25 = resist 50 = neutral 75 = partial weakness 100 = full weakness Imperil changes this by 1 stage. 50 becomes 75, i.e. Imperil Ice makes a neutral enemy partially weak to Ice, but will not change a fully weak monster. It also affects absorption rates and whatnot. THe important part is that partial weakness though, as hitting with an Ice ability on a partial weakness still counts as targeting a weakness. This not only gives the obvious damage bonus (not as much as a full weakness, but still there) but also incurs the bonus to SB charge, making Imperils a very valuable resource for mage teams (since almost all mages can't use Life Siphon) or for characters like Celes who have powerful soul breaks but no access to LS. In short, Imperil is very strong and building a team around any element of Imperil that you draw is entirely possible. Except Earth, that one sucks for a bit longer til the Stone line of spells, Gaia Cross, and Titan drop. Imperils also have the benefit of forcing a specific element on soul breaks with dual-elements to trigger.
An example of this is Fang's SSB being Fire/Wind. It natively counts as fire damage, regardless of any wind damage boosts (gear/RM/en-wind) on her, unless the enemy is at least partially weak to wind. On another note, this round of U/U+ was really easy. Rosa's SSB Bow trivialized the fights. Healed off two Megaflares and nullified the third. I now understand the Magic Blink hype. I dunno, I didn't have to S/L on either fight, despite really bad ATB starts on both.
I just mastered Fragment Ifrit! That was damn hard lol
I was able to Clear Ifrit mote was a huge pain.
Celes|Blizzara strike/Blizzaga Strike|Indomitable Blade(Helped alot)|RM: Mako Might Ramza|Full Break/Magic Breakdown|Tailwind/Shout|RM: Knight Charge Rinoa|Blizzaja/Shiva|Sorceress's Awakening|RM: Devotion Lightning Blizara Strike/Lifesiphon|Requiem of the Goddess |RM: Battleforged Y'shtola Curaja/Shellaga | Stoneskin II|RM:Dr. Mog's Teachings RW:Divine Guardian Fire resist accessories really help I put best ones on Y'shtola. I did use Synergy weapons and armor got lucky with my uses of Tailwind and reapplying Stoneskin II. I was able to beat it on 2 S/L with this setup. These cid missions are impossible without synergy out the butt. Not even gonna bother with them anymore on things like this.
My 8 synergy is among my worst zone. >(
The Cid mission on this one seems almost impossible unless you have one of the FF8 medicas and good synergy as RW pretty much needs to be SS/SG. It is a little lame they have 4 motes as Cid reward. Going to skip out on Cid for this one as well.
