And does it matter what DD? Any job preferred? Yes for embrava. With Embrava and regen not much will kill you in NNI.
DD's are whatever you want really. But if you bring crap DD's don't expect to win. My static started a few weeks ago and are doing pretty well. Our set up is SCH x2, WAR, MNK, SAM, BLU. All skilled/geared well. Some may say, "BLU is a waste of space." Imo...they are invaluable. Help sleep, remove debuffs, help cure a lil. You just need a good plan for every floor and think fast. Sure, luck has a some weight on getting to floor 100, but if the team is crappy, you won't make it to the top even with good luck. Have a list of stuff you want the team to have, like food, sneak/invis items, reraise (pretty much things they should have already), and have them preset needed temps.
Hope that helps some. Go have some fun and win gear! ^^ That is my question :) What are crap DD's in NNI and which are good?
Heavy DD's. WAR and DRK. Have heard of BLU doing well. I personally go SAM and have won a couple times, it's really just what the person in question has geared best to e honest.
Any DD jobs work, really.
BLU, DRK, WAR, SAM, DRG, MNK, choose whichever you prefer, as long as they have good gear and know wth they'r doing. DD

Just make sure your DRG knows how to angon on NMs and has a good Stardiver set and you should be okay. Is there any possible way a NIN could work? <.<
Good DDs are people who know what they're doing rather than particular jobs.
Why is this still a thing to ask? Because.. good luck to you when you pick up that super awesome Ukon WAR who happened to be the same guy who somehow managed to do 3% of the total damage in a VW fight even after he was so concerned about his damage that he refused to proc.

Is it wrong to ask for more opinions or.. ? So you're asking for other people's opinions of whether you know what you're doing?
I wasn't even talking to you, it was a general statement for the thread. I wouldn't rule NIN out but the only group I have seen with a NIN in it had at least 3/6 members cheating their *** off, and enjoyed their late hammer.
As said above, a good player is what you want to bring, don't rule anything out unless it is clearly a weak choice/the player is a notorious waste of semen. No I'm asking whether or not it's even possible for NIN to do enough damage to be able to replace another DD and still win. I know what I'm doing but I can't change the way the game works. If it worked like that then I wouldn't be asking any questions. If people have already tried then I'd rather hear from them than go and waste tags. You really don't understand how absurd what you're saying is?
The only way you're not going to be a DD sufficient for NNI is if your job name is "Red Mage" "Black Mage" or "Scholar" (I suppose I wouldn't pick 4 White Mages either).

Any DD is fine, have brought a BST as a fillin with no emp/relic/anything and still won(fillmode, spellcast, no other 3pp). Go for people with the best attention span, not the best gear/job(though the 2 often overlap).
If you can't win and use fillmode, your problem is most likely engage speed. Think back to ToAU merit parties, where the highest parser was the person who paid the most attention and took the extra time to make sure they always autoattacked and engaged quickly. Same applies here, but to a much higher extent as it's very time intensive and has (slightly) more thinking involved. I have 12/15 pieces and I always go Ninja. It's not always about what job. It's about team work and knowing what you're doing.
Would NIN work? Yes, it would.
Would you probably get a better % of winning with another DD? Yes. We went with a mandau THF at first, it was'nt bad at all, but once he swapped to ragna DRK our win rate did go up, so, anything works, but some works better than others. Most important part of a NNI group is non-stupid people, teamwork and two scholars (or one scholar and a cor and rely on 2hr reset in an allready luck-based event) Seeing how we usually roll with 3-5 COR 2h between runs and still have to resort to MMM, I would say it's very risky.
Why don't you just go kill Resheph in Abyssea - Uleguerand?
Wouldn't that require appropriate runes? I wasn't aware people touched that after getting the NM drops which aren't even useful any more.

Nah, any Revitalization Team(lolz) with 3+ CC points is fine. You can buy them off of duplidoc for 100g/5 uses. You talk to the npc on the left after descending and spend 3 CC on temp items, gets entire party a revit. Takes 48 hours to get 3 CC points so you can designate a couple members to always have it up or use mules or whatever.
I was rolling with 6-7 cor mules in wg, but after going 0/7 once I've found that MMM is faster(especially considering how annoying/slow most people are when you shout for a wild card..). |
