When I did this zerging wasn't really an option, but my setup was; Pld/Rdm, Cor/Whm, Rng/Sam, Sam/Rng, Smn/Whm, Rdm/Drk (moi). It wasn't fast, but it was easy. The Sam/Rng immediately pulled any clones and could kill them very quickly (save tp for clone). Rdm being the only stun was not a problem. Cor could buff the RAs, DD, and help heal. Smn just use Garuda. Rng just focus on crystal. Pld never lost hate even with /rdm. Running out of range of the crystal reduced the damage she took. Get draw in, run away again (to the sides). Everyone else stay on steps out of range. Was a very easy fight with this setup. Took like 15m. If all you have is monk I would suggest you be the person to focus on killing clones. Having you or someone else pull them. If you have a good pld, a rdm/drk, and a few DDs who do not have to get in range of AOEs you should be able to win. Good luck.

Or, they end up being not so smart enough to get out of charm zone. so we sometimes lose the fight as well. Its annoying. >.>; They /DRK for Stuns :x Most plds ive done that run with on our server have RDM DRK WHM WAR and NIN as subs. Yes, stun is nice. But stun wont do nothing, more than a -ga III spell. So really, its a waste to use just /drk. You CANNOT stun the magical attacks. So if you already have a BLM, a RDM/DRK or a DRK/RNG or somethin with accuracy gear or w/e. You really dont need /drk that much. /RDM gives you so much more benefits for hate and less magical dmg taken, since all of it is based on magic. Not to mention fast casting cure's or such. Personally, PLD/RDM > PLD/DRK. Especially when pld's can utilize so much Magic DEF gear at 75 lol.

I zerged this twice (once for me, once for a friend) with the following setup/strategy:
SAM/WAR x 2 MNK/WAR x 2 BRD/WHM RDM/DRK
- Upon entry, both SAMs would Meditate x 2, then wait for the timer. - RDM buffs and heals MP to 100%. - Just before starting, BRD does SV, March, Minuet. - RDM Hastes all DDs, Stoneskin, Phalanx, then opens with CS Stun. - SAMs take turns to Sekkanoki, WS x 2, Meditate, WS again, then Meikyo Shisui. - MNKs Hundred Fists from the get go.
The actual fight should take half a minute max. xD

0/5.
I'm done.
Probably wont be on the game too much longer anyway.
For starters, I am kinda F'ed when it comes to having a good job for this battle. Only level 75 I have is Monk, and then next two jobs even close are a 66 Warrior and 61 Paladin. So, i have heard, read, and seen many reports that Ranged Attack jobs are the way to go with this fight. Also seen if one person, be it a damage dealer or tank fights the mob head on, while mages and ranged attacks deal with the clones works.
So, I know there have been many a discussions on this topic, but has anyone found a new stradgy, or have any suggestions that can accomdate a Monk into the fight? Any ideas, information, or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
