Kai you need to keep your eyes on YOUR drink, you got lucky twice now.
If I saw somebody doing that I'd kick them in the nuts.
She needs to be careful?
How about the fact that somebody needs to not be putting ***in her drink?

...I don't recall once saying that men aren't drugged and taken advantage of, or that this phenomena is only done to women.
Violence and Woman abuse is a real thing, and it's terrifying.
Maybe I took that sentence wrong, but alright.
Also it's horrible when anything like that happens to someone. Whether male or female.

dude stop quoting taa, the guy is a very poor source of anything...
I disagree. I think he's a very intelligent very informed vocal individual who shares most of my ideals to a T. Also, "That which can be presented without evidence can be dismissed without evidence."

He does have a valid point, even if I do agree with you that I shouldn't have to worry about it. I am extremely lucky to have gotten away from both incidents without unspeakable things being done to me, or hell, the fact that I'm alive.
I do appreciate the fact that there are people out there who if they witness such vile acts, would respond by kicking said vile people in the nuts. That would probably make my day. :)

And I wanna go out of my house without being scared of drug dealing cartels not shooting each other in the middle of the place where I am. It's an unfair world. Learn to be careful. How do you know next time if it's a girl or a guy who dosed her? There's lesbians too for all I know.

this is true as well but you can't stop that, people will be shitty.
That's like saying oh "they should put on a seatbelt? people should not be rear ending them at 88 miles per hour"
Hi I'd like to introduce you to my friend reality over here, she's a *** a good bit of the time though.

The friends that you mention that took care of you, where they guys / girls? I hope there were guys too... that would just show that not all man are evil :/ Just people is sometimes, it doesn't matter the gender. And that's why we should be careful.

Well I was telling a story about what happened to me. I am a woman, and I was terrified. I did not state that it does not happen to men, was just telling a story that happened to me very recently and mentioning this ***does happen, even if it doesn't seem real till it happens to you or a loved one. I wasn't really worrying about being gender-friendly or anything.

Yet again you make a claim with no evidence as to why you think so. If you honestly think I should stop listening to his advice and thoughts on things, give me a reason. Don't just say "Oh that guys stupid, he gay"

the other thing I don't get is that it's a bar, most people go to bars to get some action eventually, why violate somebody like that when somebody in there will probably give it up.

I'm aware of these things, but when you bring up "You need to be careful" as the only constructive input, you're not exactly giving off the appropriate message.

Quetzalcoatl.Xueye said: »Men don't pay child support. They find ways to question expenses, understate income, attempt early emancipation of their children so they aren't on the hook.
All 3 father's I've heard of that didn't pay child support went to jail for... ***, I forget what it was... It had some technical name and I am way too tired to remember. I say this not to generalize that no one gets away with it, but to point out that that's not gaming the system: it's breaking the law.
Don't equate people breaking the law to people abusing the system. That's more than just apples and oranges.
If the system in place was such that just about any man could stop paying child support and so no one gained it, then I'd say men have the upper hand.
As it stands, though, just about any mother can get custody of the children and ruin the father's life in divorce court with the law. That's abusing the system.
Not breaking the law.
They are held in contempt of court and it's a 6 month sentence. At least in Ohio it is. I know people who have served it.
Yes, you can assault someone and serve less time than someone not paying child support.

People do immoral things and your best recourse to avoid being a victim is to be self-aware and protect yourself.
Guys and Girls both can do manipulative ***like drugging someone with the intention to rape/rob you.

The last incident I was with a couple girlfriends and one had her husband with her....he's freaking huge. He is the one who chased those people trying to take me away initially till the bouncers stepped in and told those *** to leave me alone. (I have no idea, this is what I am told)
He also carried me out so they could take me to the hospital. He's a wonderful man, despite his massive size and appearance that makes him look like he's going to rip you in half, he is like a giant teddy bear. I won't lie, I do wish I could remember him carrying me to safety, cuz...omg..hot. xD When I was told what happened he was the very first person I thanked.
Peoples posts are suggesting to me I implied somewhere men are evil, I do not think that is the case. The evil men that do exist, however, scare the bejesus out of me.

never said he was gay, just that he's a very poor source.
I haven't watched his crap in years, did see a few videos but got turned off for some reason, to be frank I don't recall, but my memory states that he's a loud raging moron.

Action implying you choose who your partner is.
Getting drugged and waking up with a woman having you shackled to a bed or a chorus of guys plowing you doesn't exactly qualify as what people go to bars to get.
Well, at least the typical cases.

Women gravitate toward low paying jobs like elementary school teacher as it turns out.
Okay, but would you like to look into the reasons behind this?
Studies that control for occupation have shown no statistical significance between average men and women salaries.
No, they do not.
To the first, it's matter of individual preferences aggregated. I find no evidence of force or coercion; rather the fact that women and men are inherently different by extension means that their aggregate preferences are different.
To the second, I'm sure you've seen something in a biased tabloid that tells you otherwise, but I'm pursuing a PhD and prefer to go directly to the academic literature because that's what I'm used to. I've seen any number of studies that found no statistical difference when controlling for occupation.

Also saying that you need to be careful puts more pressure on the victim and makes it sound like it's their fault.
Obviously everyone should be "careful" when out in public. There are a lot of horrible people out there and lot's of bad things happen to people everyday.
But when it does happen, it's not like they are at fault for not being "careful" enough.

I don't think I'm that hard to get along with, really. I like nice people who make me laugh and want to have a fun time. I dislike people interested in drugging and violating or murdering me. Not hard to figure out. :P
So yeah, next time I recommend offering me a drink or something...though I'm going to be extremely leery of accepting any now unless I see it poured. :(

I don't think Jet was implying that with me (I do understand and can agree with both of your points, in some instances it's probably true) I think he was just worried and doesn't want me to get drugged anymore. :P

Like I said... I wish I didn't have to worry about things... I am from a very violent city with lots of drug dealing wars going on... a 2 year old died a few weeks ago because they threw a grenade in front of a Walmart, dozens of innocent people got injured... It's a mad world.
But I do agree, we all should be treated as equal, we should be able to be free and live without fear. Live safe.
Yes, that's how it should be.
But... all we can do... is try to prevent that to happen... is to try to avoid things like those to happen to us.

I agree to a point, but saying it isn't giving off the appropriate message is sort of like instead of informing people how to avoid theft, telling people to stop stealing.
It would be incredibly difficult to stop everyone stealing, but it's very effective to ensure people are aware of the risks involved and that they take steps to stop them.

LOL! Ummm...You've never had a girl's night or have been to a bachelorette party. Some of us don't go to bars for the pure purpose to have sex, some of us like to goof off, dance, and have fun. Just saying...

no it's not, if I were to say "don't look seductive" it would imply that, but telling somebody that they got lucky to be careful of something as easy as watch your drink it is not putting the blame on the victim.

And I am very sorry, I am not trying to say that w/e happened to you was your fault, of course it isn't.
I just think it's a good advice so it doesn't happen to other people. My mom used to tell me all the time, when I was growing up, not trust any kind of drink... either get a closed bottle or make sure you see it being made. It's not that she would blame me if anything had happened to me... more like she just wanted me to be aware, and didn't want me to get hurt in any way :)

hence why I worded it in the way I did, read it again.
as for your bold, I grew up around all women, and am around a lot still, this implies that eventually they will put out if they find a guy they like.
