It really is jealousy. You're obviously jealous you don't make enough money to send your kids to a private school for better education.

What's wrong with a parent wanting the best education for their child, and might have to transfer their kids, who might be the next Albert Einstein, to a public school, where the education is much lower?

lol injustice? sorry but the post i quoted wasn't referring to injustice. it was jealousy, he wanted the kids to suffer because they made more money, its clear in his post, he had a hatred for them even though he doesn't know them. but he automatically dislikes them because their parents make more money and apparently making more money than other people is unjust.

ya a lot of those people in the article were idiots QQing about stupid stuff when they should just be grateful they have that money, but my point was that the kids (who you don't know) shouldn't be targeted.

Except private school isn't a guaranteed better education. I have plenty of friends that went to private schools that are dumb as a box of rocks. I would say the majority of a child's education comes from their willingness and ability to learn. You can put a child in the best school in the world, but if they don't care about school then it's irrelevant. Now odds are that child will end up with better connections later in life based on the privileged schools they attended, but that's not really a quality of education. It's just the by-product of a social elitism that plagues the world.

Except education starts from within. The snootiest private school can easily become as much a haven for drugs or substance abuse as the local private school we deem a bastion of failure.

Throwing money at your kids doesn't guarantee anything and whining about not being paid more when you're at the 350,000 level in a country where the average is 49,000 is definitely going to raise eyebrows. You can get a quality education at middle-class institutions and teach your kid about how fortunate he/she is to wealthy by having them mingle with people far below your pay grade.

The stress has been piled on because many become caught up in the web of status. It's not about the children, school or education anymore but about being confronted by your peers who will talk about how "poor" you've become and peer pressure is one helluva drug.

That's what this all boils down to. You've got alot of people who aren't fearing being out on the street but that their friends and colleagues will be making fun of them for not being able to afford the most expensive thingamajig. They've grown used to ignoring the plights of the world and are living life at an unrealistic standard and thus when things can no longer be that way they believe the world is coming to pieces.

Little do they know how the other 99% lives.

And by the way, there are plenty of modest 'rich' people - people who you'd never guess make the kind of money they actually do make and they won't have this problem because they've invested their money, try to live below what they make and either possess the will to ignore peer pressure or are simply driven to ignore keeping up with the Joneses.

No, just no. If anything, it's anger. It's people like the guy in this article who pull shady stunts to make sure they keep their money and keep getting more money while taking more from everyone else. There's kids who go without who could have the same potential, so your argument is invalid.

To sum it up basically private school =/= better education.

Wishing bad things to happen to people who are more fortunate than you are != combatting injustice.
