LM-17 can also be billing errors, I got an LM-17 one time because SE forgot to charge the 3 accounts I pay for 1 month and the next month when 6 charges hit my bank they did a charge back. So it could have something to do with that if you just restarted.

actually calling worked pretty well for me i go through in <3 minutes

I just got some impressive customer service from a Paul Y representative. He spent a solid 5 minutes repeating "601 is a problem with the credit card provider, please contact your credit card company" while I asked him why Paypal wasn't working. Paypal doesn't throw 601 errors.

I don't know if he's a robot, retard, or troll.

I personally usually do chat support. Only had to like twice though.

@.@ he certainly was trying to get you off the chat pretty fast...

I'm pretty sure they use scripted macros for most of that ***because their responses rarely make sense.

On the note of the payment issue, I know SE has always been really strict on the billing address information. I've had cases where it wouldn't work when I had Apt. 606 vs apt 606. But I don't know if that ornery payment type is still reflected in their new services.

I thought that too, which is why I opened up my credit card billing information and literally copied and pasted it into the billing fields on the SE website.

People also suggest turning noscript/adblock off, which I have done with no effect.

Of course, these aren't things that the ever-helpful Paul Y is telling me. Paul Y is not-so-subtly telling me to shut up and stop calling.

keep trying. if ya get him again or someone else giving ya the same ***i suggest asking for a superviser, when i first started years ago the same ***happend after bout 2 months and getting ahold of someone higher up helps. basicly they have a time limit thier allowed on a chat and if they dont feel like fixing ya poroblem they have 3 options, 1 hang up on you, 2. actualy go thruough helping once they finish the chat by filing reports and such. or 3 they transfer you, wich this option tends to be a last resort cuz if thier supervisers find out thier slacking off its thier job on the line. but this one is required at all times if they cant figure out whats going on. so keep a record of the guys name and time and ask for a supperviser, if he hangs up on ya, try again and hope ya get a new person.

It's like 10 AM there. There is only one guy working the chats. I have done three chats now and gotten Paul Y every time. I can't call because I'm in Germany on a pay-as-you-go phone and SE doesn't accept collect calls.

I have been pre-funding my account, and I also got it "verified" or whatever, which pretty much gives it free access to my bank account. It's essentially an e-debit card that gives no interest and bugs me with credit card offers, as far as I can tell.

I just noticed that Ultimatepay is trying to charge me $50.11 when there is $50 in the account, but the bank account access would probably cover that, eh?

The bill is actually only showing up for $50, just checked.




The credit card company swears that they're not receiving any charge attempts. My girlfriend has tried with both her Paypal information and mine from Pittsburgh (as well as my credit card) and receives the same errors. What more can I do?
