The death of burning Abyssea
Just had two camps level up to VT in 3-4 pulls with only one mob being claimed. Will do more testing once the zones clear out but this looks like a horrible ninja patch.

Obviously dont have blu leveled or you would know how much this sucks if its true. Hell of a difference pulling 10 vts compared to 10 eps, and its not because the blu's suck its simply harder to do.

Yeah Tiger this is obviously not a problem for DD.

Well, if it were posted in the blu forums, I'd have seen your point. Posting it in endgame/abyssea and just expecting me to up and know that, not so much.

How are you even going to get 40 VT mobs back to a camp to burn?
Yeah on mnk without checking most mobs I really couldnt tell you if they were dc or vt tbh very little difference 1 on 1 vs a vt doll for example and vs an ep doll. Makes a hell of a difference on blu, generally the level of the mobs in a camp is determined by how fast lights are obtained at that camp. If one person is cleaving and only getting 1 light off 1 mob per 4-7mins they drop to ep, if theres several people killing one by one say a light per 30sec they level up as we all know. What youre saying is mobs have leveled up like this but lights were obtained very slowly or not at all and therefore mobs should remain dc or ep.
In case you didn't know, killing a group of mobs while only claiming 1-2 would cause only the claimed mobs to level up, while the unclaimed mobs would respawn as the lowest level.
How is this not common knowledge by now?

I thought it worked more way I worded it tbh, havent bothered or cared about working out exactly how it works though tbh may be wrong.
The whole point is now all mobs are leveling up, not just claimed ones.

Yeah that sucks if youve just leveled blu for that, I kinda convinced a few ppl to level blu for sole reason of farming kis, theyre gonna hate me now lol.
Youre right with movement+ the actual pull isnt a problem its when you need to come to a halt and whirl >> dream flower. Once flower is landed and you rebuff for charged whisker its fine but sometimes with several vts trying to get that whirl >> flower up to begin with can be a pain, vts totally strip aquaveil far quicker and in far less hits than eps/dcs.

Yes it is about Blue Mage. Any other type of burn should more than be able to cope with this because those setups always have a dedicated healer (Fell Cleave comes to mind).

LOL no. Dont have a single full +2 set yet (WHM 4/5 QQ) and as far as Emps go I dont want one.
Doesn't make sense to me. They initially added the despawn patch so everyone wouldn't be forced to fight VT mobs, and now with this ninja patch every mob is going to be perma VT.

I kinda noticed something like this when I was burning my mnk up in abyssea laTheine the other day. (btw h2h is still capped for it and its at 71 :D)
When I was leveling it from 31 to 60, got to 600exp a kill rather fast off of worms then leveling from 61 to 71 it took forever to even get 100exp a kill but iono could be just me or that the entire sucked a whole

I finished my Twashtar 85 just in *** time.
