I couldn't imagine playing conquest with only 24 people. I like to play 1000 tickets 64 man conquest servers.

24 player battlefield 3 is like... a slightly bigger version of call of duty's ground war...

I need my 64 player maps. with constant explosions, armored convoys, dog fights, skirmishes, ambushes, c4 traps, anti tank mine fields, paratroopers, beach landings, ninjas, snipers, crumbling buildings, car bombs, mortar teams and mass noobs all running into a single choke point only to get flanked and pinned and giving my team mass points ftw.

and more of this

I knifed like 6 people in a room on Operation Firestorm earlier. They were oblivious to the fact that I was behind them.

To be honest I'd love to experience it on pc... But some of the games I play last 25-30 minutes already with 24 players and the maps are scaled slightly with 1 less capture point on most maps.

I feel its appropriate and not too hindering... The nice trade off is the server browser for the consoles.. by far one of the best server browsers I've ever used... History and bookmarking included.. which to me is impressive on a console itself. Even the filtering to find a map, game mode, hardcore ect.

For me personally, I'm starting to shy away from PC gaming because it's easy to turn into a 12 year old obsessed elitist. Nowadays it seems like i do my work/college in my office then come out to relax on the couch with some 360 battlefield.

It's been a counterproductive part of my life with PC gaming and i somewhat want to go back to my roots of more console gaming. PC gaming has and always will be king in all honesty in terms of performance and upgrade ability... keeping up with technology ect.

It's most likely just me or a few select individuals who find themselves more on the PC due to a profession or mass college work, and just want to get on a console to game and relax.

Have to bear in mind that that's only retail figures for the PC; they don't track digital downloads.

Have to bear in mind the Xbox 360 versions of games are also almost exclusively the best to play multiplayer games on.

I agree fully. Yeah it sucks you pay for xbox live, but it nets you a substantially less chance to encounter hackers/cheaters. Yes they exist, but not as many people are willing to get accounts banned for that very reason in my opinion. I'm sure people circumvent and get free trials just to do this for though.

While popular and ever growing, i don't think even with those figures added in would put it over the top. If anything just negates the PS3 combination.

I could never understand flat out digital download though, your paying the same price 99% of the time... don't you people enjoy having a physical box or CD even if its an outdated medium? You pay for the digital content sure but doesn't anyone else appreciate a good unboxing and exploring of the content anymore?

I bought the digital download. BF3 isn't a game that I desired to have a case for.. and I bought it like 3 hours before it was released and I wanted it 'now' XD

I love having the box for certain games. Like the Monster Hunter Tri box that came with the classic controller pro(and the shiny 500 wii point card XD), I'll probably keep that thing for as long as I have a game collection. Same for my FFXIV collector's ed box; but I can see digitally downloading certain games to play and not really care to have any physical recollection of.

I've sold off essentially all of my ps2 games and usually resell my ps3 games within the release of the next sequel. That just cause of tight money situation though. >.>

it was pretty funny.

someone actually got mad enough at me to pull out their mortar and fire back and try to hit me... i saw them landing in the distance.. don't think they was close enough to have range on me... epic fun.

PS3/825/Kharg Isand :3

Almost had a 900+ on Op. Firestorm, but the game ended before I could make the shot. :/

Edit:Sidenote: Volkom, you change avatars like a woman changes her clothes. You've changed it like 3 times just today. XD

Sadly i'm engineer like 90% of the time.... litterally... using a Scar-H with about 2600 kills... bullet drops too badly and too weak on damage at super far range...

Just checked my battle log and says 183m

You can counter people backfiring a Mortar at you lol. Stick under a roof while doing the mortar. It is possible to. After that the opponent will go wtf and give up on you easy.

This is going to sound like a screwed up question... but if you pirated the game iso itself, but purchased the online pass for 10$ officially... would you be able to play on PC that way? A friend is asking and i would join in to play with him since he's PC only.

I can't seem to google up anyone else asking that question.

I'd say you could since the copy of the game doesn't actually hold any personal data itself. Would be the same as pirating FFXI then buying the codes for it.

Longest headshot is 315 on Caspian. 70% of my M98 + SV98 headshots are within 10 to 60 yards. I haven't really set out for long range lately.

Got my Recon star tonight. Prolly work on Support next. Played it abit on Metro. Was fun throwing thousands of rounds down a hallway.
