Which after reading I recall that when my account logged me out and logged me in it had one of my mule IDs, and one of my empty spots listed as available to make a character. I can only assume that like this user they picked 2 ID's at random to make "free" and somehow *** the whole thing over after that. My brain hurts from this.


Seems that way, which really is aggravating me.

If you look at that, the moderator posted 3 minutes after the thread was started and moved it to another spot. No reply on my thread yet so I made a new one in the wrong spot to see if I can get a reply. This is what I wrote..

It's the talk of the day today. This error that has everyone in rage mode. I saw on another thread someone started the thread off about talking about the problem and the next post was a moderator talking about thread in the wrong spot.


So the purpose of this thread (on behalf of all the angry players out there who can't play) is to see if a moderator will post and either explain what's going on, give some details or something. I mean, what's the point of this official forum site if it gets us no where.

My story: I woke up this morning, saw I was disconnected from the game. I go in like normal to reconnect. I get to the last "play" screen and it gives me content error. I go to reactivate content ID, get error. I go to view content ID, get error. I go to obtain new content ID, error. I can't go in membership info to change billing info or anything. I see that there is registration maintnence going on. I look in some forums, see that tons of other people are having this problem. I go online to playonline.com to try and do a support chat. Takes all my info but since it's Saturday morning, I have to wait until Monday morning for a reply.

I have not changed billing info anytime recently. I purchased all three abyssea packs on Jan 7th, so not a problem there. I only have 2 content IDs - main and mule. I paid for March's month of service. I tried waiting a few hours, maybe maintnence wasn't done yet. It has now been 9 hours since I woke up and still getting the same error. I've tried resetting POL, resetting my PC, even stupid things like restarting my wireless router. Nothing.


So I want to know from a moderator what exactly is going on?

I have 3 content ID's and do not have an error code so that is not the problem

Maybe Blizzard should take over...doesn't seem like they have any problems keeping WoW up for their players.

so this is f'd up i can completly create a new account/toon on the NA servers but still with my old account all i get is UCS-5024 error how f'd up is that i mean really if i can create a new account why cant i fix my old one?????????

Been getting this ***every 2nd of the month for 3 months. Each time I called they could give no explanation as to why my service was interrupted. Same debit card been using to pay with since 04' ....

It has been said in other posts for people who have gotten this error code even before this maint. that they had recently changed CC info and SE placed a ban on the acct. to "prevent people from changing CC info who are not supposed to."....now I am not sure if any of the people who are in this situation recently did this but it's what i read on other forums but i highly doubt this could be the problem

So in other words... if we change our credit card info we get banned?

Hubby has 1 main 1 mule- Plays on xbox- and gets the error

I have 1 main 1 mule and im on the game now. I havent had any problem im just confused why his id off but im able to got about and do whatever.

We use the same card to pay, so thats not the issue. We buy everything at the same time, so again not an issue. I believe Monday we will see "Emergency Maint. Cause we done F*cked up"

Argh! Im normally good at finding the problem, but cant seem to find what all that got canceled got in common. Well, that none of us are JP. Was lurking the SE JP Forums and not a thread about this issue there.

Oh and we have used the same CC since Jan of this year- Had to change it due to exp. Date.

forgot to also say it had been for people that had been on leave from the game for awhile give or take 5+ months, sorry :(

Lol yeah this is the more puzzling aspect of it, while some have been deactivated, others haven't... that used the same card... it's like ... mind blowingly stupid.

The day the game servers were back up, I changed the Credit card on all 3 accounts of mine. The current CC that was on them, was due to expire at the end of the month. So I've changed my card recently on 3 accounts (to the same debit card- edit: SE would only allow 2 accounts w/ the same card in such a short period so I used another CC or the 3rd account).

3 accounts here, multiple mules, and no problems on my end. I hope you guys figure out the problem though. Im gonna miss Amael at dynamis tonight :\

Ok so i was wonderign since i was on if maybe there was something wrong with the content ID part. Apparently only for some. I was able to get a new ID plus re activate an old mule. I was just testing this. Honestly this is a bit odd to me.

i strongly believe the problem is with the whole membership/registration, it seems that if u just had everything in check (working CC,sufficient funds ect.) then ur fine. but if u like had the wrong payment info or something and they couldn't get their money outta u u have a problem.

Well if that was the case then I wouldn't be able to even get in POL, it would stop me at the door. I'm able to get all the way to the "forget your friends, family, school, work and play ffxi" page then no content ID..

Not true.

my cc was working just fine (brand new cc) had sufficient funds for everything and still my husband account lost his content id and my account had been closed altogether due to unpaid fees, even though there was more then enough funds on the cc.

My account working just fine now, where on the other hand my husband account still getting the same error everyone else is that lost their content id
