Now that we've established windbuffet is still the best, excluding ACC requirements from ele. belt, Hecatomb +1(4% crit max) vs Warrior +2.
Using the windbuffet stats above, I only have to do hecatomb +1 stats.
Heca +1 stats: 186 STR, 123 DEX, 24% DA, 2% TA, 1% QA, 71.75% crit rounded down to 71%.
275*2.1 = 577, 577*2.2 = 1269, 577*3 = 1731, 1731*1.22 = 2111
(1269*.29)+(2111*.71) = (368+1498) = 1866, 1866*1.07 = 1996
275*2.2 = 605, 275*3 = 825, 825*1.22 = 1006
(605*.29)+(1006*.71) = (175+714) = 889
2 hit ukko's = 2885
3 hit ukko's = 3774
4 hit ukko's = 4663
5 hit ukko's = 5552
6 hit ukko's = 6441
7 hit ukko's = 7330
8 hit ukko's = 8219
(8219*.0001)+(7330*.0004)+(6441*.005)+(5552*.024)+(4663*.0834)+(3774*.3434)+(2885*.5437) = 3422.6672
By Kaerin 2012-09-05 12:42:18
Windbuffet stats: 194 STR, 114 DEX, 27% DA, 2% TA, and 1% QA. 66.75% crit rounded down to 66%.
181+98 = 279 base damage.
279*2.1 = 585, 585*2.2 = 1287, 585*3 = 1755, 1755*1.22 = 2141
(1287*.34)+(2141*.66)= (437+1413) = 1850, 1850*1.07 = 1979
279*2.2 = 613, 279*3 = 837, 837*1.22 = 1021
(613*.34)+(1021*.66) = (208+673) = 881
2 hit ukko's = 2860
3 hit ukko's = 3741
4 hit ukko's = 4622
5 hit ukko's = 5503
6 hit ukko's = 6384
7 hit ukko's = 7265
8 hit ukko's = 8146
(8146*.0001)+(7265*.0004)+(6384*.0056)+(5503*.0246)+(4622*.0966)+(3741*.371)+(2860*.5016)= 3443.817
Looking at your numbers and putting them into my equation and putting said equation into google and clicking the button gives me 2636, how is what I did wrong?
((((279*2.1)*1.07)*((3*.66)*1.22)+(2.2*.34))+
((279*1.663)*((3*.66)*1.22)+(2.2*.34)))=
2636.513884
1.663 fTP for the all hits beyond the first is because you get 1 QA in 100, 2 TAs in 99, and 27 DAs in 97 attacks. Which comes out to 3, 3.96, and 26.19 fTP for the values, add them up and you get 33.15, double it because both hits can get extra attacks and you get 66.30, or 1.663 fTP for the second hit. <I assume this to be the error if anything, so help me out.

Also it would be 2.663 not 1.663, you have to add the intial 1 http://fTP. Which puts you at 3310ish, which is closer to what I got.

This doesnt make any sense to me.

This doesn't make sense either. Ukkos fury is a 3 fTP WS, 2 for the first hit, 1 for the second, then you basically have a 66.3% chance of getting a double attack, so 1.663 fTP for the second hit.

It's your order of operations then, I think.
Should be:
((279*2.1)*(3*.66*1.22))+((279*2.1))*((2.2*.34))+((279*1.663)*(3*.66*1.22))+((279*1.663)*(2.2*.34))
You're formula is only multiplying by crits, and then adding non crits not multiplied by anything.

What Austar said, basically look at your first part:
((((279*2.1)*1.07)*((3*0.66)*1.22)+(2.2*0.34)))=1515
(279*2.1*1.07)*(3*0.66*1.22+2.2*0.34)=1983
Your parenthesis are all out of whack.
By Kaerin 2012-09-05 13:25:02
Wanion stats: 202 STR, 122 DEX, 27% DA. The extra DEX bumps you up to 67.75% crit, rounded down to 67%. Which Kaerin claims 1% Crit makes it better than either other options.
283*2.1 = 594, 549*2.2 = 1306, 549*3 = 1647, 1647*1.22 = 2009
(1306*.33)+(2009*.67) = (430+1346) = 1776, 1776*1.07 = 1900
283*2.2 = 622, 283*3 = 849, 849*1.22 = 1035
(622*.33)+(1035*.67) = (205+693) = 898
2 hit ukko's = 2798
3 hit ukko's = 3696
4 hit ukko's = 4594
(4594*.0729)+(3696*.3942)+(2798*.5329) = 3282.92
Should be 3401~ According to the way you did it. But it could be higher with fSTR too.
And my parenthesis could be wrong, I will look at that.

549 x 2.2 = 1207
594 x 2.2 = 1306
So no, was a typo not a mathematical error there, which just carried over by mistake.
594*3 = 1782, 1782*1.22 = 2174, 2174*.67 = 1456, 1456+430 = 1886, 1886*1.07 = 2018
(2916*.5329)+(3814*.3942)+(4712*.0729) = 3400.92

To be fair, Kaerin said that Windbuffet was better than Thunder Belt at 20%~ DA, which is correct. He also stated that Thunder Belt and Windbuffet are practically identical at 50%~ DA. You used 27% DA rate for your comparison.
Had to edit something.

Hmm, then perhaps my horrible memory has struck again. When I used to do stupid ***with Claim, you , and other Persistence members I thought you were a guy. Kaerin referenced you as a she, so perhaps I am thinking of a different person.

((((279*2.1)*1.07)*(((3*.66)*1.22)+(2.2*.34))+
((279*1.663)*(((3*.66)*1.22)+(2.2*.34)))
3451
Ok now that I added in the missing (, we can see that my number is still not the same. Austar got 3443. Would someone like to explain why the numbers are different, and why the way I did it is incorrect? I simply added extra attacks to fTP the way I always see people do it, and I would like to know why that is incorrect.
Ninja edited, was missing a ( in front of both 3's. But everything else is still true.

It's because Flowers is really not a gay guy and I'm secretly a girl and I don't want to tell anyone and neither does he. So he's my girlfriend and I'm his boyfriend.
But it's a secret, so dont tell anyone.

Still issues with parenthesis
((3*.66)*1.22)+(2.2*.34)needs to be:
(((3*.66)*1.22)+(2.2*.34))
I think you'd have less problems if you didn't put so many unneeded ones in. No reason for (((3*.66)*1.22)+(2.2*.34)) when it's the same as (3*.66 *1.22 + 2.2*.34). I'm sure it's just something to do with the way you translate the steps from your head to written form, but I find when I do things that more parenthesis always leads to more mistakes.

Motenten updated his WAR spreadsheet. Just download it and find the answer. Any clue what was changed? I find it somewhat disconcerting that an updated version would be an incentive to use it, since the formulas shouldn't be changing, unless there were just a few gear additions to make things easier (which I add whenever they are missing anyway).
Hopefully there were no bugs! :)

There were some bugs and the new version accounts for Conqueror's AM3 (and also has Huginn stuff) if you feel like doing simulations.

Also, these formulas have a decent number of steps whose values could all be represented with symbols, thereby improving readability, reducing errors and making it far easier for folks to verify results. Math doesn't have to br a series of illegible cryptograms-- symbols are your friend.

You get technically 3451.139603 then floor to 3451
Austar gets 3443.817
Yours doesn't floor till the final step, and all those extra decimal places add up during multiplication. Austar's is a more accurate number.

Huginn feet with even 9% crit dmg should be better than Emp+2 feet right? Are they omitted from gear sets because of rareness?
Hello, i'm almost halfway on my ukon so i just started thinkin about some possible WS sets, but well, i'm not sure what i should build, STR or DA Crit ecc.
Any suggestion is appreciated ^-^
1st set mainly focused on str could be like this :
http://www.ffxiah.com/item-sets/205175
2nd set with some more DA Crit% and Crit dmg :
http://www.ffxiah.com/item-sets/205179
i'm also thinkin about Twilight helm and Ares's flanchard
