At 300%tp wouldn't a +4 STR earring be best in slot? Kaerin said it has no place on WAR, and just want to know if I should sell it or hold onto it once I finish WoTG(even if only for use at 300%).

When I proccs it is so sweet!! When it does not, ugh. Seems to hit more than miss though.

Considering theres an NQ crafted 4 STR earring and an HQ 5 STR crafted earring in the DATs already, it's just a complete waste of gil to hold onto it. No amount of usefulness can make up for that seeing as the other earrings will be put into the game sooner or later and the value of the current 4 stat HQ earrings will drop to like 300k.


It's good in TP sets when you don't need ACC and can't deal with +10% damage taken, but don't have Portus Collar. Well, inside Abyssea if I didn't want to use Rancor I would use Nefarious over Portus.


In 100 WS's, Windbuffet will add .12 fTP and a WS belt will add .1 fTP worth of damage to your average WS damage. Provided you do not need the 10~ ACC that the WS belt also provides, windbuffet is better.


Only if the Attack is useful, which isn't very often.

Things you said: AF3+2 always beats Mekira+1 hat unless you gain the fTP boost, which isn't true. You said Heca hands+1 always beat Phorcys, which isnt true. You said af2+2 pants always beat Avanat+1, which again, is not true. You never even provided any sort of evidence to back up your claims, then the 2 things I bothered to look at all that you said, I proved you were wrong. But, you did give a very specific situation for when armada is better than shadow when you dont need ACC, which I said shadow was better when you dont need ACC, unfortunately your situation doesnt even ever happen. If thats your victory and 'setting me right' then congrats dood.

lol, there's so much back and forth of opinions in this thread in addition to a revolving door of what equipment is/was the best based on certain settings, criteria's, & situations.

These are my current TP & WS sets geared towards legion.


447 Great Axe skill w/ 55 Accuracy on top.


440 Great Axe skill w/ 51 Accuracy on top (counting Gorget).

Should I be aiming for higher Accuracy through the use of an Armada Hauberk and/or Mars's Ring or anything to that effect? I'm trying to find a round Accuracy level to aim for.

Also, @ Kaerin. In a situations such a legion where you desire more accuracy on a weapon skill. Wouldn't Ravager's Mufflers beat out Avant Gauntlets +1? Or does the 2% Double Attack truly trump the 2 Str, 2 Dex, 2 Acc(3 if you want to be technical), as well as the potential bonus of Restraint.

The bonus to Restraint is applied to the JA itself, meaning if you TP in them, and take them off to WS, the same bonus is applied regardless. You just need to TP in them.

In legion I generally use this with avant gloves+1 instead of AF3+2, since Im only getting 2-3 attack rounds between WS's.


And I use all the items you do in your WS set except thunder belt and heca hands+1, since you probably need more ACC and you should have blood rage or warcry full time.

With the exception of the Ixion my ACC has always parsed as being capped using this and full timing hasso/aggressor and using RCB for food. Im not entirely positive how much ACC you need for every mob, and I have no interest in parsing 50 different gear sets and comparing the results or anything else, but my ACC has been close to cap every time I parsed and used this set, and its been shitty with less ACC.

QUICK EDFIT: I use Ghillie earring+1 as well in my TP set.

Not sure if you guys want to rate a poor man's/woman's set for Ukko's. I can make the proper gorget easily enough if that would be better. I'm kind of relying on what I can get from the AH, Abyssea, and possibly VW (if crap would ever drop). I have things left over from ye olde Sky/HNM days if anything there would be effective. Backtracking to old stuff wouldn't be an issue, but right now I don't have much place in Neo-Nyzul or Legion. Anyway thanks for any advice.

Grim +1, Ele Gorget, Rancorous Mantle, Ogier's Breeches and Avant Gauntlets +1 all stand out. The belt, head, and hands are more situational but you can backtrack to see all that discussion.

Thanks guys! will definitely look into those pieces. I do have relic+2 legs already so that's a start. Ele Gorget won't be a problem to farm up on my BST. I do have the proper ele belt if that would be preferable in certain situations. I have NQ mekira-oto if needed.

So at 300tp i'm switching to mekiram since at that point I have a bunch of crit on Ukko's. My question is should this be done? I regularly WS in Rav mask +2, also my mekira is only NQ not sure if this matters. Also what days is mekira active for Ukko and would it beat AF3+2 head?.
I only know lights day so far. Also switching to mekira for blood rage.

til i can get Phorcys which body shold i ws in zahaks or grim+1 ?
