WSed lvl1 bunnys in ronf counting only ukko's that first hit landed. All done at 100% tp. 56 crits in 100 ukkos wearing 0% crit rate gear.56-25 from dex/merits=31.

So likely within 5 of 31% crit rate. Will be doing another test in a bit wearing my crit rate gear(to increase sample size/test the double crit rate theory), but after killing 600 bunnys Peta told me to take a break and go eat dinner.

you (like literally everyone else that's ever met him) would find it very, very hard not poking fun at him eventually when he's around you nearly every single waking moment you're on the game

I killed 100 more bunnys. This time wearing 19% crit rate. 72/100 were crits. 72-25-19=28. which is close to my last test. I am going to assume it is a 30% crit rate. That being said I think i'm going to use this set inside abyssea with RR/SS/apoc. With heca legs augmented with 4% crit rate it should be at 100%(will get around to testing this sometime).

This is for bloodrage down/low attack set. Imput?

Question, what comes second to Vulcan's Earring for WS? Would a +1% Crit Rate Light Earring from Miserau mean anything?

And yeah, I normally use a set that has heca subligar+1 with crit rate+4. Switch to using the higher dex set if I'm getting really low ukko's on things.
Remember what I said about crit returns with respect to dDEX? You're more than likely getting 0~1% (0.6% on average) critrate from the additional 6 DEX on anything where you'd get such low numbers due to high enemy AGI. It's unlikely that you'd be in the dDEX=40~50 range without further sacrifices, and even then depending on race/merits.

The actual net gear change I use takes me up about 30dex which moves me from 150ish to 180ish. I haven't actually gotten to do extensive(read: I think i've got 1 parse) tests on vwnms with the high dex set though, so I'll take your word on the fact their agi is higher than feasable to cap dDex(especially given that even if the set did take up crit rate it was only returning small gains).

That being said I stand by that byakko's>af3+2 outside of abyssea on standard mobs as you can cap dDex and byakko's are some of the best pieces to gain that dex. On harder mobs I have no math to back up anything I would say for nonHeca options.

Wait, wait. 180 DEX? How? I may be underestimating your ability to cap dDEX with that statement.

base dex on elvaan at 81+ this set

which has +76 dex(used to be 80, repped kubira beads with rancor collar), 10 from marchs and 6 from sole sushi(it seems like my DDs have needed the acc so I count this, not sure though)

=173, bit under 180.

Edit: friend's mithra has 91 base dex. not sure aboout other races. Also, this set sacrifices 7% crit rate from af3+2mask/heca legs which means at best it increases critrate 5% (from my normal set).

Hmm. You could pull it off then (might actually be a bit over cap), but like you said it's a small gain given WAR's critrate options and it involves some unpleasant trades.

Would an augmented Kirin's Osode (Suzaku Scrap) with 3% crit damage, 2% Double attack beat out Grim for this slot with zerk or stalwart's up? My gut tells me it does, but I haven't looked too closely into it yet. (Still sitting on 2% crit damage, 1 dbl attk augs) Given that same scenario, Cavaros Mantle wins for the back too, yea?

If so, you'd be looking at 100% crit rate and 88% crit damage with Blood Rage down. That's kind of insane actually.

I'd like to see a parse with Rancor Collar/Ele Gorget/Ravager's Gorget if possible.

I'm assuming that was ment as ravager's vs rancor for tp, and ele gorget vs rancor for ws.

for tp: think of it like claymore grip vs pole grip, then make claymore 2% critrate higher.

ws: Math done at values of 180 str with a mob having 80vit, capped attack, not mathing in da/ta or other critrate from gear. assumed RR/SS/apoc atmas.

floor( (D + fSTR+ WSC) x fTP)

Gorget:
(131+20+108)*2.1*2.4*.15+(131+20+108)*2.1*3*.85*1.6+(131+20+108)*1*2.4*.15+(131+20+108)*1*3*.85*1.6

195+2219+93+1056=3563

Rancor:
(131+20+108)*2*2.4*.1+(131+20+108)*2*3*.9*1.6+(131+20+108)*1*2.4*.1+(131+20+108)*1*3*.9*1.6

124+2237+62+1118=3541

(someone double check that math as I just woke up recently)

so ele gorget is slightly ahead in its ideal situation (I'm 99% sure adding da/ta, lowering pDif, or having more crit dmg all benefit rancor more). I will do a comparison (probably using my above set) counting these factors once i've had more coffee.

Str=96+110=206, mob vit 100
base D=(131+22+123)=276*fTP
TA=15, DA=27, critrate=95, assuming capped pDif.

WS((276*2.2*2.4*.05)+(276*2.2*3*.95*1.82)+(276*1*2.4*.05)+(276*1*3*.95*1.82))+TA(2(2(276*1*2.4*.05)+(276*1*3*.95*1.82)))*.85+DA(2(276*1*2.4*.05)+(276*1*2.4*.95*1.82)*.85*.27)

276*1*2.4*.05=33
276*1*3*.95*1.82=1431
Expected value of nonfirst hit=1464

WS((276*2.2*2.4*.05)+(276*2.2*3*.95*1.82)+(1464))+TA(4*1464*.15)+DA(2(1464)*.85*.27)

72+3149+1464+878+671=6234 gorget

WS((276*2.1*3*1*1.82)+(276*1*3*1*1.82))+TA(2(2(276*1*3*1*1.82)))*.15+DA(2(276*1*2.4*.95*1.82)*.85*.27)

WS((276*2.1*3*1.82)+(276*3*1.82))+TA(4(276*3*1.82)*.15)+DA(2(276*2.4*1.82)*.85*.27)

3164+1506+903+691=6264 Rancor

Bolded end math.

Looking over this thread there's so many variations in gearsets for Ukkos, im at the stage of nearly having Ukko's unlocked, should be finishing today or tomorrow with scales. Any advice on my sets would be awesome, for restraint down, dont have a mars ring (is it worth getting one..?), and not to sure about my zerk down set either.

TP - (Use Rav+2 body atm, but getting a Adaberk with STP / DA on it soon)

TP restraint down (Ensure if this is even worth it)

WS - Zerk up

WS Zerk down (Unsure on twilight head or Rav+2 head)

Any sets i've missed, or gear i've gone horribly wrong with? Atmas im going to be using is RR SS Apoc, and food is red curry buns+1 cause hell, this weapon deserves the best :P

Not sure if the restraint down set is worth it anymore tbh. I had one with Perle hands+Mars's ring, but even then I doubt it's worth it<.< (it's like, 11 attack(?) Vs. STR+7 DEX+7 And 4 acc assuming Perle+Mars's iirc) Probably better off just using AF3+2.

Yeah that's what I was thinking, it's not major gear swaps between the two sets, but if it's worth doing then I will.

I would definitally use AF3+2 head for berserk down set also. I'm not sure on the math but I seem to remember reading somewhere(maybe earlier this thread?) that ire/beir+1 beat ele gorget/belt. They both pretty close though, and no reason to switch them for berserk up/down. Could save yourself some inventory. Vulcan's should also outperform cent even in berserk down. Looks like a solid inside abyssea WS set though^^ pregratz on finishing.

Cheer's! Pretty excited to get Ukkos tbh lol, can't wait to see how it fair's compared to my masa.
I was thinking Rav+2 would be better as well, If those two are close, I may just stick with Light gorget / belt then

Ditch the Pole Grip, use Claymore.
Use restraint up set all the time.
Af3 head should win.
I prefer ele belt/gorget, but I think it's a wash.
Not sure on that centaurus earring...
Rest is fine if you're using rcb and stalwarts
