1.8 is the 1.8 BETA, the game is at full release now, and that started at 1.0, it is currently at 1.1, soon to be 1.2
This game gives me more problems than anything else I have ever done ><

What kind of problems?
At some point I had some lag issues, but that got solved when I started using Java 64bit rather than 32, other than that, everything have worked perfectly fine for me.
Did you buy the game, or download a cracked version?
Trying a cracked version for now, thinking seriously about buying it.
Trying to get the mods I listed earlier to work but they wont.

It used to be a 2 week ban, it was really fun. You gotta enjoy high risk situations to be into it, reminded me a little about real life though. You don't know who's around the corner, whos out to get you, you never know if theres someone stalking you home, finding your secret stash of diamonds
Sometimes you run them out, other times you fight and kill them, and if your not prepared enough they can kill you
i really love that sort of deal, it makes me take it seriously whenever i see someone within my field of view regardless of what armor/weapons they have

If the mod is for minecraft 1.0+, and you have BETA 1.8, they wont work simply because of that

Started playing some of the super hostile maps a guy called Vechs made, they'r really fun!
Kinda makes the game more interesting again.
I highly recommend to start with the map I'm playing atm, if anybody wanna try these.
It's called Spellbound Caves, one of the easier maps, but still hard enough to piss you off once in awhile :p

I couldn't sleep last night. Then I saw this thread bumped. Started playing again. I haven't been very productive all day.
my server recently got a TS server going, so its pretty fun

If you buy the game, it lets you automaticly update to the most recent version.
1.1 is the current version, which also means the most used one.
1.2 is right around the corner I belive, with cats and new mob AI etc

the website seems to be down right now, but they'r all on that site.
Some of the maps are rather old and meant for minecraft 1.7, which didnt have the hunger bar etc, but some of the newer ones, and remakes of the older ones are meant for the new 1.8+ changes.
Spellbound caves is the only map to "fully support" enchanting and brewing as a standard feature of the map, I belive.
That means you need minecraft 1.0 or 1.1 to play*
theres currently a preview of 1.2 out, but those are more for like testing purposes i guess
I love Vech's Maps! Although I suck at them.. I find it a lot more fun to watch other people play them.

He just finished one of the Vechs maps and he has an older series with another map, and is currently teaming up with some funny guys to do "Spellbound Caves" on multiplayer. Watch the "Canopy Carnage" series, it will give you a good idea of what Vech's maps are all about. If you're gonna play one of the maps, do NOT start with "Black Desert", "Legendary" or "Nightmare Realms". You will rage quit, I guarantee it.
I've rage quit and deleted every map so far and never manage to finish them, but they're tons of fun when you're not raging. By far the best adventure maps I've played.

Yeah Etho's Lab is pretty good. Guude and Bdouble0 are also pretty fun, but I don't think they really play them for skill test. Another good youtuber is Zisteau and those are the only people I really watch.
I've actually beat Spellbound caves with only 6 playing on vanilla. Legendary I died too many times to count. Was much harder without Enchanted items and Potions. I def. think Spellbound Caves was much easier. Only reason I died was the first cave cause of stupid Zombies, Rumbling Caves gravel bridge blew out below me, the crypt was kinda annoying and I caught caught in one of them with like 100 zombies, and then a couple to the cave spiders. All in all, pretty easy. >_>;

i play on a RL friends survival, not much player traffic cuz only 10 ppl can play at a time but its fun none the less.

So…I've setup my own Minecraft server. It's a cracked server though. I've only generated it and created my own little "base". Everything else is untouched. Anyone interested in playing on my server, survival?

When I get on a cracked server, usualy they say something like:
"please /login password to login:
Ok, where do I go to set that?
Is it the same for every server I go on?
I've been on one server like that, logged on successfully, but I forgot my password (been awhile). How can I reset everything, if its possible?

No idea, bought the game during early Alpha stage so never tried anything cracked with it =/

Yeah this is one of the few games I'm 100% against using cracks with. Sorry.

Oh ok, guess I misread it. Good job lol games like Half-Life and Halo I don't mind cracking/torrenting, but smaller independent developers I tend to support.
