I'm collecting data much faster now that I improved my technique. Melee the Bluffalo down to ~10%, disengage, Banish it down to 1-3%, WS it. If I'd done that from the start I'd probably be about done these tests by now.

If I'd done that from the start I'd probably be about done these tests by now. So you don't kill it with crits or a double attack... unless you R0, which I've been doing frequently lately. This might have to get put on hold.
I found nothing to indicate it has an attack penalty.
Excellent!
Club all the things?
Nah, I used one of those instagram style things. /lazy
Like so: INTERIOR DECORATING STARLIGHT TWINKLE .... SURPRISE! The more I play with Melee WHM, the more I'm convinced that Afflatus Misery is absolutely worthless outside of a precharge. For Sacrifice and/or Esuna.
The enlight effect kills Mjollnir's additional effect and if you really need the accuracy boost from Misery Auspice, your target is likely a bit stronger than usual, and you and your party will be able to play more aggressively with the defensive boon of Cureskin. Versus weaker content Solace still means you spend less tinme casting and more time beating things up. And, you wouldn't need Auspice to have an accuracy boost anyway. Tl;dr Ride Solace. If you would "need" accuracy, you're most lukely better off using Pizza +1 and keeping the ability to play a bit more aggressively that Solace boasts. ya cureskin thought you knew
Increased offensive capacity due to improved defense is something that's very difficult to calculate.
Mostly I was surprised that even versus evasive / higher level targets, Misery apppears to be entirely worthless despite allowing easy capped accuracy while eating Curry. Also, I don't know if this has been mentioned anywhere, but Mjollnir's additional effect doesn't appear to work if you hit for 0.
not being smart with my comment just you are very good at calculations / testing but I just presumed people would be like misery isnt doing crap when getting hit etc
Well, Auspice ends up being a hefty chunk of accuracy if Misery is up.
Misery unfortunately is extremely underpowered. It could use some adjustment, in my opinion. If they made Cura spells work like the HP cured / Holy buff, instead of like Scarlet Delirium where only one attack is counted, then Misery would pull ahead due to needing fewer Mystic Boons.
For Realmrazer, Magavan is clearly better than Maat's cap, so we can only compare it to Ruach Crown, and Hyaline Hat.
8 STR 8 MND 4 attack vs. 12 MND 8 MND 4 attack vs. 10 MND 4 attack vs. 2 MND They're only even assuming the "best" case - that 1 MND ~ 2 attack (or less). (It's more likely something like 1~2.5-3 which pushes Ruach Crown ahead for Realmrazer ). 8 STR 8 MND 4 attack vs. 15 MND 8 MND 4 Attack vs. 13 MND 4 attack vs. 5 MND Hyaline always wins unless for some reason Attack is worth its weight in Gold. For our STR/MND modded WS (Hexa, Mystic, Randgrith), Magavan should be the clear winner for all scenarios. Now if only someone would *** sell it. I've been using Selenian with STR+4 WSAcc +15 / DEX+4 CritDmg+2% for Hexa. Magavan still better? Been too busy to chase after Gnabhod's.
Magavan is better than both by a significant amount.
k, wasn't sure. Was told the 30% mods on STR and MND were too low to care about.
They're not worthless, neither are they especially potent, but WHM's critrate isn't high enough for the critdmg to be terribly significant and 8 MND + 4? STR is still a decent chunk of base damage for a 1hand job.
Would Crit damage pull ahead of magavan beret in situations with high crit rates? aka Abyssea since that's generally the only time I use Hexa Strike now a days.
What atmas would a melee WHM use in Abyssea?
RR SS GH if K-club and don't need MM for refresh.
I use RR SS and Apoc cause no k club.
I currently run RR SS GH, as Austar mentioned. Don't like Apoc personally because of the quick cast, but that's an entirely different topic~ Against some of the more diabolic NMs where I can't Mystic Boon as liberally, I use MM over SS.
I've got an ear question. Currently I have TP Regain/Atk+4 Moonshade (which I'm reading isn't the best choice, I know, but gonna use it in this instance). I thought I read somewhere that Suppanomimi is better (for TPing)? Can someone shed more light on this? To my understanding, DW traits lower one-handed TP gain, correct? And WHM doesn't have alot of Store-TP to make a number-hit build. I notice Regain helps me pull up to 100 a bit faster to WS. Or I'm just getting lucky with hits on OA2-4 Tahtib.
TBH, Regain/Suppa comes out ahead of oth Regain/Ghillie+1 and Suppa/Ghillie+1.
(But Suppa/Ghillie+1 comes out ahead of Ghillie+1/Regain) TP bonus earring is far more useful in general though.
