Most people in the apartment complex I live in own dogs. That's pretty much the best reason to live here actually, because this place is the only apartment company in town that allows pets. And here we have a large courtyard and several places to walk dogs, so long as we clean up after them and place their poo in one of the MANY dog-poop receptacles around the property.
It has occurred to me, after cleaning dog poo off my shoes for the upteenth time, that people here don't actually clean up after their dogs as in stated in the rules that they must. I used to try to just be careful where I put my feet, but it gets hard to keep track of where everyone else's dog's poop is when it keeps piling up in different spots day after day! It's especially hard now because the leaves everywhere make it really difficult to see poop on the ground.
So I started cleaning up for them in hopes to save my shoes. I see a pile of dog crappola hanging out with no owner in sight, I'll just clean it up myself, along with my own dog's poops. Annoying, but it's not like it'll kill me.
And since I have started just cleaning up any poop I see, I have noticed a lot more people not cleaning up. >< What, do they see me cleaning up and just assume that I enjoy doing it for them? I am not the poop fairy! I am not on a poo crew! I do not gain enjoyment from taking responsibility for other peoples' pets because they are too irresponsible to do it their bloody selves! In fact, I gain negative enjoyment of this because I actually dislike cleaning up other peoples' dogs' poop. Go figure.
When the snow comes, these folks are going to get an unwelcome surprise. I'll be able to see every single little drop of shat in contrast to the snow and I'll be able to avoid them without cleaning them up! MWAHAHAHAHA TAKE THAT ARSEHOLES! You can all be your own poop fairies because once I can see and avoid it, I'm not touching it anymore! It's your own faults for being even more irresponsible when you noticed that I'd do it for you! >.>
