And we start the Final for the 36th America's Cup! New Zealand has shown us worldwide a great deal in the past few weeks- they even dealt with potential Tsunami warnings after an 8.1 earthquake hit one of the smaller archipelagos to the East of the 2 main islands that make up New Zealand. Thankfully, nothing as major as we have seen in the past 10 years, but certainly a scare. Nonetheless, the 'best of 13' format started yesterday with races 1 and 2, which were split between 'Luna Rossa' and 'Te Rehutai'. The Kiwis look like a freaking drag racer in open air, and definitely untouchable in downwind legs....they're a freaking speed machine. The Italians, however, were their usual stable self, and appear stronger in upwind legs. They also embraced true "match racing" tactics- tacking duels and up close maneuvers to block ETNZ's clean wind. While they stayed in that orientation, they were able to completely control their opponent and prevent them from finding clean space to work in. Interestingly enough, it was only when the Italians opened up their lead in the second race to over 800m that they got in trouble....once they gave up their stronger position in an attempt to just run away with it, they allowed the Kiwis back in and showed their speed. While Team Prada/Pirelli still won race 2, I think they learned that if they want to win this regatta, they need to stay close, win the pre-start, and control the positioning. Its 2 races a day with only 1 day off, and if pushed to 13 races, the final day will feature only 1 race. That's a LOT of racing in a short window of time. Almost no time for adjustments between days- they'll dance with the girl they came with, and live with the results. This is when years of prep, design, and research meet the elements and the other team to see which concept wins out- assuming quality execution by both teams. Will it be the Italians mantra of "the team with the fewest mistakes will win" or the Kiwis belief that "build the fastest monster you can, and learn to control her"? The next 2 days will reveal a lot. Offline

Being a famous victim in modern times is like winning the mega lottery, the press will love you, millions of people will love you. America LOVES them a victim so much.

She is a really smart woman playing the media, he is a lapdog that never had a woman touch him before. He changed completely after he met her, she is his universe and her opinion is now his.
Which will be hilarious when she divorces him and uses him for more victim points, it's just a matter of time before she does it. Fame and money are really all that matters to her. On the one hand, they're going to be better off than I or you will ever be. Cry me a river, my life is so hard being a "celebrity".
But on the other hand it goes so much farther beyond that. The way "we" treat famous people is *** appalling. They're just people. They don't deserve to be STALKED 24/7 and be in real fear of being kidnapped and/or murdered. Like dude, yeah I expect people want to know (for some stupid *** reason) what famous person " " is doing today or has planned or blahdyblah but god damn the amount of actual dietyification these people have to go through is far off from what is reasonable. I personally find it hilarious the number of Americans who are fascinated by the British Royal Family. That, combined with the irony of the descendants of those we Americans split from for freedom are now running to us to get away from the House of Windsor is just precious.
half the country runs around with confederate flags, and the other half worships the british.
half the country is in poverty while worshiping the half that makes more in a day than they will in their entire life. Some might say, we have a problem with intelligence and education. Offline

Royalty = disgusting, only reason they still exist and they get to live this lavish lifestyle at the tax payers expense is because Americans love it so much and it helps our tourism industry.

It's cool if you like her, and think she is your American princess and all but she is still milking it for fame and money. Victim status is currency now. This was very amusing, trying to blame the British monarchy's existence on Americans. It's time for you to stop posting about your politics. Looks like LTT is setting up t h e V A G.

Just thought I would point this out. Offline

Youtube is busted again.
keyboard shortcuts now work without pressing shift, so you can't type anything in comments. F = full screen, space = start and stop video etc. In-case anyone thought it was just them and their browser, it's not. I'm so enthralled just watching the comment count skyrocket on the GME thread on reddit.
I'm not reading that ***... just watching the 30 comment per second counter roll in. In amazement. In the UK they used to have really high taxes so bands like the beetles used to use tax loopholes to keep more of their money, by funding films. Many of the python movies were fully funded by the beetles because of high taxation. Bring on dat high taxation for the virtue signalling millionaires!
forget the reddit thread. watching your positions go from ballin to broke in real time is the real thrill ride. also, if there was a watch i liked that was 500k and i could afford it, i totally would. thankfully the watch i want most in the world is between 35-50k depending on seller and how many are for sell. it's a good ways off though. i'll be happy with the current watch i'm getting.
