I just started to reading books of speed reading.
My speed was quite low, just 100 words per mins, what should be fine given english is not my native language.
Still seems quite unlikely those 1000 words per minutes advertised.

Why would anyone want to speed read?
I mean, the whole point in reading a book is for information or entertainment. Speed reading is just glossing over that without allowing people to understand or comprehend it.

One of my would-never-happen-but-wouldn't-it-be-awesome fever dreams is a Wild Arms MMOARPG (maybe playing similarly to PSO2?) that had the various Filgaias as alternate worlds you could travel to via Elw Pyramids.

Wild Arms 1~3 are some of my favorite RPGs of all time. I love going into the Elw Satellite to fight Ragu Ragula in the first one soooo much.
Also always found it so charming that the banjo summons the optional super bosses.

That game is one of the old one i never played, i guess i could take a look.

I got an email about ff14 free period, so I opened up the mog station just to have a gander, do you really have to PAY to get items like Santa hat in that game?
Is there any other means besides the cash shop (like you can do an event instead?) I can understand if lazy people don't want to do an event and just want to whip out their credit card... but it's super sad if that stuff that we got for "free" or did an event for in 11 is now nickeled and dimed in 14?

some of the items in the cash shop are seasonal event rewards. so if you don't play the game but want the items you gotta buy it

Santa hat can be had in game for free if you know someone who has done the event before but yeah the rest of it is insane tbh. Having to pay for holiday cosmetics when there's moogles in XI that sell years worth of holiday rewards for gil, lol.

Even Korean F2P games have avenues to get cash shop items with ingame currency.
