At this rate I'll have enough stones for 3 multi-summons by the time Gogeta comes around. I'm so close to just wiping all of my ***and installing Debian on everything. I haven't found too much I hate about Win 10 yet, but I do miss Win 7. Unfortunately for me in these schools the options are 8.1 or 10.

Or is the domain that locked down to where you can't join a non-imaged device? Asura.Floppyseconds said: » Convinced people just don't like change. Get off my lawn! I don't like not having options. Not like we are locked into an iPhone of an operating system though. At times, depending on the computer. I would usually leave it as a backup for when a site wouldn't work properly (just to test it, etc). In this particular case my browser wouldn't set as the default and I thought for a second maybe it was in the way so I looked it up and it looks like there was a way to remove it in powershell but not now. It turns out I had to go to the windows settings for the default app as the browser wouldn't set it as the default itself, which is weird but probably just a bug. Eh it's not really tied into 7, which is one of the wonderful things about it.
Also Edge is basically IE12 with rebranding to try to lose the stigma. It's still crap. No, you can't just click default browser now. I imagine it is partly to keep Edge prominent, but also partly to prevent browser hijacking of users. Once you change your default though in the menu it pops up for you it is good to go. Yeah, that's stupid. I wanted to because I hate it, but you eventually just forget it is there. Same with edge even though it is running unfortunately. I am sure something will happen eventually about that. You can "remove" it forcefully, basically change permissions of it's folder and rename the executables. I should try to see if I can get vmware to work in linux again (some of the basic packages in debian tend to be slightly different than other distros, as they like to modify things to what they find is an improvement, which makes some dependencies not work 100%) then I can just switch to it as
Asura.Floppyseconds said: » Not really. Windows 10 is more secure which is nice. I was glad to read how they are separating the kernel from user mode to prevent malware from running as easily as it has in the past with IOMMU. It wouldn't be so bad if I could change the setting that disallows that, as unlike most I'm not a moron and I don't need to be coddled. |
